Come on Saints, don't concede just before HT. Better still, stun Leeds by sneaking a goal. -

Solent commentator just apologised if the noise of the crowd is too loud. So they have been reading the e-mails. -

Little bit of Leeds pressure, then a little bit of Saints. Very even and tight. -

Now the Solent commentary volume balance is much, much better. Obviously Auntie has reacted to e-mails very quickly. -

2000 Saints amongst the near 40,000 crowd. No wonder it's loud. The Solent commentary volume has just sneaked up a bit in the last couple of minutes. -

Thought I'd check. It wasn't the South, but The West Gate:

I agree. Man City are not like Pompey and the City directors expect nothing less than winning the Premiership.
-
Mark Hughes is a good manager, but he doesn't quite have the charisma yet, and Man City are understandably not patient enough to wait. They have pots of money, which they are quite happy to part with, so why waste time with a lowish profile manager. They're looking to win the Premiership, and be the biggest club, not be upper-mid table fodder.

Most friends I know, or work with have absolutely no interest in football. The word itself is probably the last thing that they would utter if you asked them to run off words at random for 24 hours. Football supporters are in a minority, it's as simple as that. I've always been thought of as a bit odd for taking notice of a pastime that all I can do is watch. When the team I follow wins something, it's they that wins, not me. I'm unchanged. I haven't achieved anything. I see what they mean. I'm wasting my time. I could be doing something more interactive. I could practice my guitar more. I could do more sailing [not in bloody winter I won't though]. I could be paying more attention to the upkeep of my garden [winter again]. But then again, apart from the things we all do, they do nothing more than I do, so perhaps my life is slightly more full. And just occasionally, one of them will ask how Saints are doing, and are pleasantly surprised when I say they've won yet again.

Not read any Shakespeare..? Extract form the beginning of Act II Chorus [narrator] speech ...ere he [Henry V] take ship for France, and in Southampton. Linger your patience on: and we'll digest The abuse of distance: force a play. The sum is paid: the traitors are agreed: The King is set from London: and the scene is now transported, gentles, to Southampton: There is the playhouse now, there you must sit. And thence to France shall we convey you safe And bring you back, charming the narrow seas. To give you gentle pass: for, if we may. We'll not offend one stomach with our play. But, till the King comes forth, and not till then, unto Southampton do we shift our scene. And of course, very famously Henry is supposed to have uncovered 3 traitors, in what is now called The Court Room in The Red Lion pub. Before setting off for France, he had them executed outside the Bargate. Since Henry V, several kings and armies have sailed from Southampton, though perhaps less famously. I think he and men took the South Gate. EDIT: BTW, The Earl of Suthampton was Shakespeare's friend and patron.

I think you call it perfectly. Also, what people call quirkiness, in SAAB's case I would call ingenuity.

During my 5 years in Kent, we were snowed in for at least a day or more, per winter. It's a bloody cold county when it wants to be. Southampton and it's environs, by comparison is like a bloody sauna*. *I've exaggerated, of course.
