I don't know what Connolly was told by the experts about his injuries, I'll take a chance that they didn't tell him that playing football would cripple him for the rest of his life. Now AP having worked with DC decided to give him a go for 3/4 weeks in training, then offered him a contract. Now Dean Ashton (real shame as he was a class act) HAS been told by "probably" several of the best medical experts that money can buy that his injury is that severe here MUST retire or suffer the consequences later in life. So top surgeons can't heal him but in your oppinion AP by laying on his hands will do this? Its a shame when someone as young as DA has to take what must have been a hard desicion.

Well looks like we really lucked out this time with Marcus Leibherr & Cortese. And as Arizona said they are doing it the right way one step at a time. Putting the pieces in place for sustained success. Managers in place then the back room staff (work in progress). Work done internally in the stadium by all accounts. Updated training facility's in the pipeline, & as they promised & so far delivered he would make us competitive in the league we were in. Long may it continue. NC wouldn't have put his reputation on the line if he didn't think he would achieve his goals for us.

Agree with most of that. The only way out for Pompey to move forward for me is administration, & a clean slate. As for the sky money surely that will go to paying off football debt & tax/Vat debt that they can't get out of and walk away from. So with that asset potentially already gone who would buy into/loan the vast amounts required. As you say there are far better investments out there if you want to get into Football.

Yes you won another trophy possibly at the expense of you club. will it still be worth it then PES? Yes you've won more trophy's than us, but it could well turn out to be the most expensive cup win of all time. They had allegedly got their debt down to 10-million at the start of the season since then they've been allowed to rack up another 40-mill in new loans which have seemingly disappeared into a black hole. But why are several people pouring good money after bad into that black hole. What incentive is their for anyone to by into that, Seems like they are being used behind the scenes as a pawn to be used & sacrificed doesn't bode well for them. None of this makes any sense whatsoever I just can't understand what is going on down there. PL need to look at themselves in this as they are going to end up with a lot of difficult questions to be answered at the end of this sorry saga. Well its a sorry saga for them very amusing for us.
