As couple more have said, the appointment of AP didn't initially excite me. He has since his arrival quietly gone about his buisness, in a positive unhurried way. He is building for the future of the club trying to put a good infrastructure in place. He also talks a lot of sense after the games & pretty mush says it as it is, praise where praise is due etc.

As I've said from the start I think we need to take the steps 1 at a time, first we had to wipe out the 10 point penalty(took longer than I hoped or thought) but then we had no management infrastructure & AP had no pre season. We are now in the process of taking the next step of getting out of the bottom 4. I'd hope that by the turn of the year that we are comfortably lower mid-table, and a few points clear of the relegation zone. A couple of decent signings in Jan & we can push on towards the top 6, I've stated before I think we will come up just short of the play off's (hope we do just make it). But I think the run in will be very important to set down a marker for next season, by making teams fear us next year for a proper promotion Push.

Apart from Burley they could always try a Dutch experiment Wotte & poortvliet. Good result just what we needed, wish Lambert hadn't scored as had 2-1 in the prediction league . been at work tonight so just reading some reports sounded like we had to weather a bit of a storm for 25 mins & then got into the game, Sounds like Lallana had another storming game. Shame about Davis, but gives Bart a chance to prove his worth at last. It's a blow but I'm not to worried about Bart taking over. he had a decent Game against Charlton. And the key thing is he is playing behind a more competent defence now, & his confidence is being restored. Just back from weekend away watched the goals last night, 2 great goals from us. Davis unlucky with the penalty but poor goalkeeping for the 2nd equaliser. now I like James in midfield , but he really is no full back & gave away a poor penalty. For me the defence is where I want AP to strengthen in Jan. We need a right back to cover for Murty or take over from him. And we need to sort out the central defence, as Trotman seems to be unsettled since Irvine said he was going back to preston in Jan.

Am I missing something here, they have yet another 10-million loan to go with last months 5-million loan + the month before 5 million loan. plus the initial debt which they said had reduced to 10 million. plus the 9-million that Fahim owes Gydermack as the short term loan to secure his short term takeover (and that is just what we know). not forgetting the 10 million they owe HMRC. As the two 5 million loans were to pay off wages & incidentals, you have to assume that the wage bill is probably in excess of 3.5 million per month. How the hell will this new 10 million loan possibly stabilise the situation. 10 +5 +5 +10 +9 =39 million So at a conservative estimate they are 39/40 million in the hole as of now. So Jan to April another 4 months wages another 12 million plus to find before they can get any season ticket income in April. The only income is the small amount of gate receipts, and their Jan sky money (which seems to be spoken for already) How can they possibly be in a position to buy players in Jan. Pure fantasy to suggest they can start on there much vaunted training facility's & rebuilding Farton Carp. All they seem to be doing is buying time, to get deeper into debt. Yes I agree with TDD he certainly should be Court martialled, He was not conscripted & made his own mind to join the forces, & new the full consequences of that decision. And knows full-well the consequences of making the stand he is now making. My Son is in the RAF his duties included flying in & out of Iraq during the hight of the conflict there, & has a few hair raising stories. He new full well when he signed up what he was signing up to, so I've no sympathy for this person, there are ways out of the service, but you have to do it the right way.

As said I also couldn't believe & continued to wind my Jock mate Lee up about the sweaty socks paying to take him off our hands. At the time we were well on the slippery slide & he was showing definite signs of having lost it at Saints. He then proceeded to loose/fall out with 3/4 of the better Scottish players including the Scots prem league top scorer(Kris Boyd) for the last 2 years.When they've had trouble scoring. Sounds a bit familiar to me playing his favourites no matter how badly it effects the team & its moral. Does seem to lack a bit of man management skills. Don't now if its the pressure that has got to him, but suggest for his own sanity he takes a long, if not permanent rest from the game. Not having a go at James attacking ability and overall contribution today & he was one of the better players, But he is defensively lacking, & my comment was simply he is no right back, after all that is the main reason you play at right back, your defensive capabilities. This is one of the reason's we are defensively lacking, its now 12 games since we kept a clean sheet. That worries me & must be worrying AP. Are you telling me your happy with our defence at the moment. This is only a blip & fully expect us to go on another good run now but we need to tighten up the defence.

Well what can you say to that, defensively we haven't got it right James is no right back, & Trotman & Jaidi you would think they'd never played together before. Think we turned up believing the hype that all we had to do was turn up. Also missed a hat full of clear cut chances. Their Keeper made a few great saves as well. just a dissapointing day all round, and at least 2 games now to get out of the relegation zone. They also forgot to play football & got dragged into playing long ball. This is a real kick up the backside, and a wake up call to AP and the players.

Well we all new we had defensive problems, really proved today. Also cant get out the bottom Four with a single win now, need to go on a good run again to get out of the bottom Four. Real wake up call today.
