  1. Think you have avery one sided view. The Echo: poor reporting very bias against Saints and broke infomration against the Club wishes Season tickets: The club is a business why should the Club support effectively an interest free loan? The season ticket provides huge discounts over the season why should a season ticket be more subsidized? Photograghs: Why should the press take free photographs of our players? The players belong to the Club, they are a marketable asset and therefore the Club should try to maximise the earning potential. Nick Illingworth: no comment Sacking AP: the fact that there was not an immediate appointment clearly shows that this was a responce to something major over the weekend or just before. It has been reported that it was for non football related matter, unplanned but obviously necessary. Give NC a chance, he will deliver
  2. Automatic promotion at the start, now automatic promotion. Delighted we are out of the paint pot and league cup so we can concentrate on winning the league
  3. Villa took how long to replace MoN? 3 weeks? This has to right for the club, he must appoint the right person. Like you I would rather it was sooner than later, but as long as we get the right man........
  4. Exactly right! No one has any proof of whether NC is picking the team. I doubt it, he is not that stupid. No one knows why AP was sacked, there must have been significant reason to do so. Scunny Chairman makes a statement people believe, SFC makes a statement no one believes. Sorry which team do you support? NC is a proven businessman let him get on with the job. As usual a few make unfounded statements and many believe!
  5. Sour Marsh: Yes I read it. I honestly think it's a load of back-peddling cr@p they've rushed out as quickly as possible to try and cover their @rses. So Scunny can issue statements that you believe and when YOUR club issues a statement you do not believe a word? So who do you support again?
  6. Or maybe the next day.......
  7. Could all be a smoke screen........... or just another attempt by scunny to up the money.. or another manager was always on the agenda... That's it, no one knows!!!!
  8. Great post!! Why cant people understand that in business the CEO is there to get the best deal for the business. Thats all NC is doing... Scunny chairman is simply trying to up the anti..
  9. Agree Prof, we do need stability; Ted Bates, Lawrie, Nicholl & Jones were given time amd we produced decent football. WGS had, what 3 seasons and again did well. We do need someone to stay with the club long term, take us to fizzy pop next season and then onto the Prem. We can onnly hope, wait and see.
  10. So is the announcement tomorrow??????
  11. Looks look Adkins is the man: http://www.s****horpe-united.co.uk/page/News/0,,10442~2148108,00.html
  12. How about adding in the last 20 years, Souness, Merrington, Ball, Branfoot and Nicholl, pretty bad reading really 17 managers in 20 years; Adkins or another being no18!
  13. Sorry should have added "if"
  14. If it was gross misconduct then it is not in AP's interest or the other two to broadcast why they were sacked - a NDA maybe required but no reason to pay off AP if it was misconduct. Pay off to SUFC, you're right there would be something agreed probabaly based upon the length of time remaining on Adkins contract.
  15. Utter rubbish!! we are 6 points off the top, this time last season we were 18 or so. In any case back to the OP, IF, and this is speculation, AP was sacked for gross misconduct there would be no need to pay him off.
  16. Interestingly the appreciation thread only runs to 46 replies and we are on page 4 of the criticism thread!!
  17. As far as I am aware the Leibherr family took all the shirts, photograghs, etc., home to Switzerland. Not sure what happened to the flowers, though. Apparently the family was overwhelmed by the reaction by the fans.
  18. Liebherr wanted AP sacked at the end of the season, it was NC that convinced ML to keep AP in place............. He was not sacked for results
  19. I hope the renting a place in Winch is right and MoN is appointed. If he comes we'll know that NC has promised to release money for promotion this season, next and when we get into the prem. There's no way MoN would come here unless there is money for him to spend and alot of money....
  20. Lacked the ability to inspire players Could not instill the killer instinct Tactically inept
  21. What happened was bound to have an effect on the players, whether the rumours have substance or not. DH is going to toe the line and rightly so, he is not going to say what happened, if anything, nor is he going to knock DW. We as suporters have our role to play, we must get behind the team and not chant AP songs!
  22. If rumours are correct not in AP interests
  23. Good posts, DPS, Alpine & Derry, all three probably summing up how most fans feel.
  24. Removed by Exit 2 as fictional at present
  25. Agree Apline. The wrong manager and the Club will be in trouble. As for Dune's original post, some truth but nowhere near correct. NC must take a great deal of creidt for saving our Club, he presuaded ML to buy. IMO there has been/was something going on behind the scenes which we may never know. NC is going nowhere unless the Leibherr family decide to appoint someone else or sell the Club. So we have no say. Saints will win promotion and come May next year the dark days at the end of August/begining of September will be long forgotten.
