  1. Mentioned on the OS now. What a pain, no (or maybe one) pre-match pints.
  2. I can only speak about the ladies loos, but the situation for us is now far, far, far better.
  3. Well, at least they were at home. They had to pay the steward(s) and the st. Johns Ambulance but at least didn't have the cost of the coach not to pay.
  4. Just about to start my warm up, ant team news.?
  5. That's not a dream, that's a nightmare..
  6. If you don't understand the difference then heaven help us all. You can w*nk at home all you like, but in public you can't..
  7. A scrap? What, popping zits at two paces?
  8. Thought I saw 17/1 for Saints on my phone somewhere, which is just ridiculous. Not a betting lass but with those odds I'd be tempted.
  9. Friday April 6th against Wales in a WC qualifier.. 7pm kick off.
  10. Cheers, thanks for the heads up. Presumably not on a Sunday when we play. When my team went to Fratton for a similar game it reminded me what a ramshackle ground it is.
  11. yeah, but it's like Christmas though, barely getting to sleep and then waking early for all the goals and excitement.. Well, sort of... And a nice long day beyond that to take it all in.
  12. Yeah. Funny that Hypo was the one to start it too. I'm sure there's a career at The Daily Mail waiting for him. As usual there's a fair bit of ignorance on this thread, and happy to display it as well, so no different from normal then! Others seem more informed or, more my own view, not give a to**. As it happens I've met a hermaphrodite who defined as female. I know of an Intersex person in Brighton who was quite happy being intersex, and didn't want to be pigeonholed into the binary gender model - and why should they? As DuncanRG points out, it's a simple matter of politeness. I know many women, both married and unmarried, who use Ms and if you don't understand why then I can't be ar*ed to explain. See you all on Sunday. :-)
  13. Yeah, let's hope Wetherspoons and The Samaritans have extra staff on.
  14. I didn't realise they were playing at home. Just seen a picture in the Guardian match report and there were so many empty blue seats it looked like Fratton Park..
  15. I've just got in from a lunchtime pint, and a quick perusal of the match thread confirms that, once again, you've descended with glee like a vulture on a corpse or a fly on a steaming turd. Just **** off, would you please?
  16. They'll need to get rid of their frustrations.. Still, we know Long can score at Anfield, but can Davis?:-)
  17. I shall be drinking in one of the village pubs or maybe in the sailing club for a cheaper pint before wandering home to listen to merry Dave Merrington on radio solent. It's a very long time since I've been to Liverpool mind but most of the pubs were OK, as I recall. Individual fans are largely ok, although be prepared to say "pardon" a lot.
  18. In that case you owe me for an extra pint of pain numbing anaesthetic. ;-)
  19. Just a reminder for those gluttons for punishment that the U23s are playing Brighton tonight at Staplewood and it will be on youtube...
  20. I always thought he was fully amortized myself..
  21. I've a season ticket and shouldn't miss any games except when I'm on holiday, and I always stay to the end, but gawd, it's getting to be hard work, only alleviated by things like last week's goal. Yesterday I started hacked off because my women's side couldn't raise a team, so I thought at least I'd be able to watch Saints at the pub. My usual place was showing the boxing, so I jogged home, got on my bicycle and rushed off to an alternative. I missed the first goal , but any hopes we'd build on it soon evaporated. Later I was muttering to myself about Forster's absolutely dire reactions and then about our pedestrian attacks and counter attacks: we play on the brakes not the break. The beer wasn't brilliant either: that, and the complete lack of excitement or tension at least saved me money by limiting my intake. So on to the Burnley game. It could be worse, I could be a Baggies fan, but please, give us something to cheer about, something to enthuse us all.
  22. What money?
  23. Bradford 1 up at the moment. It may well be getting noisier. With all the boos..
  24. Hmm, they've made a reasonable point, so do I go earlier and sing or not trust them and get to my seat at the last minute?! To be honest, if the away fans sing there is always a response from the Northam, even if many of them are still downstairs at the bar. Against West Brom there wasn't much boinging by the baggies, so no need for any response.
  25. Cheers for that. It's a shame that I've other commitments as a few pints in the Marlborough and a Saturday night in Brighton is always fun. It brings to mind the free bus travel in Southampton that was established as part of the planning permission for St.Mary's. How come that never got reinstated when we returned to the top division?
