  1. Nooo.. /Sue weeps into her sourdough culture/. Foccaccia modern? It's the original hearth bread! Brioche is great for bread and butter pudding. Poor love not liking garlic, my condolences.. Can I also suggest pizza, which is basically bread, but it needs a long fermentation and must be wood fired. I'll wait until the weather is better and not so windy as the smoke inevitably follows you around..
  2. No mention of Jander on the thread. I don't think he's a candidate but his improvement is also great to see after a patchy mid season. If we go up another who'll not look out of place.
  3. I see some of you take me as seriously as you take yourselves. When I have more time I'll explain how jokes, particularly bad ones, don't have to have too much grounding in reality. Some of us older ones do remember such instances though..
  4. Next Saturday we need some plants in the Ipswich crowd to start the rumour that Saints are losing 3-0 at Preston so that they give up trying for a bit; then panic when their bench tells them the truth..
  5. It certainly took a lot out of me! It's a sell out on Tuesday, ticket exchange et al and the response of the crowd after that performance yesterday should help give them an adrernalin boost, and I agree they'll need it..
  6. My niece lives there and couldn't get a ticket so she paid for a live stream! She's also a U's fan (Cambridge..) so hoping for them too and keeps an eye out for Saints' results to say the right things to me. 🙂
  7. My train to Victoria cancelled, a good start! At least you can tell who I support, im a bit yellowy!
  8. Now I'm getting worried. Can I have a single G&T? What about merrily tipsy? One too many pints of ale and raucous singing? It's got better over the season but at the start a certain degree of numbness was needed! 😉
  9. What about singing and jumping up when we score?
  10. A quote from the article:
  11. Went to the local small gym tonight run by my sports physio ( a Spurs supporter), and for our group session he finished off the playlist with various versions of OWTSGMI. The Northam would have absolutely no chance with Bruce Springsteen's version - have a listen! :-)
  12. The answer is no! I'm not going to imagine any such thing. Still no!
  13. Just read this about Chelsea. Obviously far greater stupidity than SR, but read it to the end and go oof.. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/apr/22/liam-rosenior-leaves-chelsea-blueco-ownership-todd-boehly
  14. I've an old yellow away shirt which was a gift and this morning popped in to hobbycraft and bought some rolls of yellow and some blue ribbon for not very much. Goodness knows what I'm going to do with the metres and metres I won't need.. Swap it on the train for beers seems the current best bet! Edit: Plus the yellow balloons I promised Whitey.;-)
  15. I'm going to annoy Whitey with yellow balloons with 60 on them. Available in the card shop..
  16. I'm not sure those will be unique identifiers..
  17. Hobbycraft here we come..
  18. Any idea where to get balloons, I'll be mooching around Southampton later?
  19. Lots to be said for winning the autos; not sure I can afford three trips to Wembley.. cough..
  20. Most in central London, if my experience of the play-offs is anything to go on. I'll be going via Victoria due to where I live, so tube to Green Park, stroll along Picadilly and somewhere up that way. I popped in to The Lyric and that had Saints fans in there last time. Depends what you are looking for, I suppose.
  21. That's good, shame they didn't put anything on extra in 2003 to Cardiff..
  22. That's not bad. I was in a similar seat the other end for the women's cup final the year we went up and tried to get the same this year, but it wasn't on sale when I tried so got a more expensive ticket in the block below. It was one solitary ticket left at a good level in the middle of a row! Hopefully we'll all be moaning again in two week's time!
  23. I think either you like making straw men or you don't understand what people are saying. Nobody is raving about Archer; he's had an appalling season, but people are pleased for him that he had a good game and so obviously are his teammates. It's all round relief as much as anything and hope that this is a turning point and nobody thinks he'll be playing like Haaland. Not sure why I'm bothered really but your comments about this and about Bragg irritated me, and as I get older little bits of irascibility escape from me.
  24. You're dedicating this to @sad saints fan I hope.. Hope he splashes out on a fiver soon. 🙂 As for Boro, are we OK with them winning?
  25. I think you then need to log in immediately so they can check your eligibility. Anyway, I'm now relaxed!
