  1. OK, smart alec!
  2. Yes, no fan of GK, especially when others are available. But thanks all for the recommendations.
  3. Good call. I've been researching. Any hotel recommendations; the one at the ground is too expensive?! If I do book I'll be asking about pubs later..
  4. Guys, you don't half cook some difficult recipes; I can never get all the obscure ingredients..
  5. Some context would help for that particular episode and it happened in front of me. Wood is a bit slow and had been caught about three times, or given somewhat hospital balls to Bree who then had to hurry his passes with the result that passing out from the back didn't work anyway. Tonda then gestured them to go long after a number of dodgy incidents and the team did move as one to do so. I think in the circumstances changing it up a bit was probably a good idea. Most of us know why we play out from the back: the intention is to control play and keep possession, but we weren't doing so (a la Russell), and the crowd's unrest was a reflection of that. It will be interesting to see whether Dobson would perform better in that position, he can't be as slow [thinking?] as Wood.
  6. Better in the middle really.. 😉
  7. Could be worse. They could be playing Palace.
  8. With a flag or a drum?😇
  9. I've been busy with a new kitchen going in and have only just seen the weekend result (after looking at the wrong division, I'd forgotten..). It's good to have a healthy laugh in the morning, although I do feel guilty laughing at someone who is so obviously delusional.
  10. I don't think Lincoln can maintain their level of physical effort. We've been less than slick but get another goal and we'll be comfortable.
  11. The fee Les Reed paid for him is not his fault, and at least he knew how to kick a ball, you know, you could see he was an actual footballer even if not up to the required standard.
  12. Wade, do you get paid for these motivational speeches that get pinned on the opposition changing room wall? 😉
  13. Excreted nugget of what!?
  14. Starting when?
  15. https://www.theguardian.com/football/picture/2026/sep/01/david-squires-on-the-art-of-the-transfer-deal Have we signed generic player A yet?
  16. It must have helped, winning 5-1 on Saturday. Joining a club on the up and one that is easier from which to get to Norway. Here's hoping.
  17. I just mentioned this fact to a friend and she asked me whether I had seen RM recently as he now looks like a 'podgy peasant Italian fraudster'. To make sure I really got the picture she said ' "seedy and unsavoury" also spring to mind'. 🤣
  18. "breakthrough in talks today" according to the journalist. Otherwise known as 'making an offer considerably nearer the asking price so that it would be taken seriously'..
  19. Well, after reading here for the first 15 minutes then back to my kitchen electrics I've just come back in and it appears we won! Judging by the depressives in the chat it was a lost season already!
  20. I'm going to miss this as work on the house is more complicated than anticipated. So, will I be grumpy for the loss but glad I didn't waste my time. Or grumpy because I've missed a cracking win..?
  21. Nah. I do sea rowing and their technique is all over the place..
  22. Wade! You're back! Not always accurate, but nobody is going to be too critical. 😉
  23. As it's not a loan that is entirely possible.. A delicious thought..
  24. More likely to be Scienza when he retaliates against yet another unpunished foul on him.
  25. "Sorry mate, we had the studwork replaced by breeze block in the close season."
