Sam Gallagher - Joins Blackburn: Official
suewhistle replied to Sergei Gotsmanov's topic in The Saints
Cheers, Angelman I've only just noticed your reply. The idea of a loan abroad is a good one, and a great life experience. Mind you, Blackburn was probably an equivalent culture shock! -
Yeah, you're right, read it in a hurry and a spirit of optimism!

I do like the phrase in that article "Southampton digging their heels in like a toddler on the first day of nursery,".. So can we say things like "Liverpool grooming VVD by promising him sweeties"..?
-
It looks like it's wait and see time. First visible change, more chinese advertising round the perimeter boards, next season's pre-season tour to include HK/China? I've got enough savings to buy a brand new car (not that I ever would) but if I were to do so I almost certainly wouldn't raid my very productive savings but would get it on cheap finance. Similarly if the club is burdened with the cost of debt servicing let's hope it'll be at a good rate because the borrower is good for the money.

The report says he's already met his teammates, so he's been to Staplewood, I imagine. Has Ulrich van Gobbell been sleeping on the job?;-) Or perhaps he slipped in via the Portsmouth ferry..

It's quite amusing but sad reading this thread as you can pretty much tell from the rest of their posts elsewhere in the forum who doesn't get it. The "I don't care if they're gay, but I don't want to know" mob, who then spend an inordinate number of posts trying to convince you that they're OK with it. I'm not going to tell you I'm lesbian as that would be attention seeking, but I'm going to show this thread to my girfriend when she comes round tomorrow night and we'll have a laugh together..

I believed that, but then noticed it wasn't Grouch you'd written.
-
I'm hoping for a quick snig ger or two.
-
Or, Ni hao Gao, whoever you may be etc.

I used to go to the Portsmouth Takeover Thread for my daily dose of laughter and getting air into my lungs. I still do, but this thread is more laughter inducing at the moment. I could go over to RAWK but the management summaries here are fine..

Easier to sell n'all.

Saints U23 v Reading U23 - Live coverage this evening
suewhistle replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
He got on towards the end after the game was well won. -
Yep, Juve bars/clubs all over Italy. I used to tell people that term using the direct translation. One or two Toro fans were particularly pleased..:-)

You read the Daily Mail?!!
-
Gawd. I know, I'm on my second pint already!
-
I've been out and just saw the Coutinho news on the BBC website. I came straight here for a laugh, and haven't been disappointed!
-
Thanks. I was going to reply in Italian, but then noticed you were in Lithuania. It's an interesting language but this is terrible, I don't even know the words for 'beer' and 'thank you' in Lithuanian!
-
Yeah, but he's not very good at counting.

Carabao Cup - Round 2 draw - Wolves at home
suewhistle replied to Pamplemousse's topic in The Saints
Burton, for the ale. Haven't had one for years, do they still do it? It had a lovely coal dust flavour. If they've stopped making it Pedigree will do. Stuffing Birmingham would also have its bright side.. -
I'm afraid The Guide Dog is only for post match beers, possibly from a jug if the group can agree, usually when we've done well, haven't too many before the game, it's a waxing moon and I'm not playing the following day. When that happens I'm going to go in and.."paging Shroppie...".
-
That's a bloomin good summary..

Pretty much how I feel DEM. A few more succesful penalties would chip in too, perhaps PEH will learn not to panic and balloon shots high, Tadic shooting when he has the opportunity etc. Maybe one of those will break their seal early in the season and the goals will flow. At least I'll be getting on the train with optimism in 48 hours!

No, with his English teacher.

Better than our suggestions Faz! LOL Skied at Cortina many years ago, never seen so many fur coats in my life as down the main street and there was a lovely wine bar. Les has obviously been shopping in expensive and classy places.

Les Reed went to Europe To ski some at Cortina or To buy some Fontina * Any more er.. improvements? ;-) *a cheese also occasionally available in Lidl
