  1. Those are just quotes taken from the Saints Player interview and I came away from that pretty confident he WILL be staying.
  2. Really cant see how the best team in the land coming to our stadium can be "boring". Seriously. It may not thrill the life out of you, but it is hardly boring is it?
  3. Not sure there is too much comparison with the last game. I honestly think we will give this one a go, whereas last time we just rolled over and let our collective tummy get tickled. That will make such a difference to the atmosphere. I hope.
  4. Yes, we fans are certainly more interested in the ManUre thread this evening, only to be expected, but please, lets not get confused with the interest of the VERY professionally prepared team.
  5. Too many changes! Lambert, on the strength of his last 4 or 5 games, HAS to start. Chaplow needs to be there as well. Swap Chambo with Punch if needs be by all means, Chaplow in for Hammond and keep Lambert and Guly. This squad is really very, very good, but lets not make too many changes for the sake of Oldham FC.
  6. The number of Man Utd fans in the home ends had nothing to do with the team losing, I was suprised they only scored three. Our team that day was awful. We have a far better team this time round, which means we will get in their half, which means the fans in the stadium will wake up and start to make some noise. It will be interesting to see the difference.
  7. Problem is most (including Mr Le Fondre) are now cup-tied. Might stop one or two wanting to leave (Punch?)
  8. After the excitement in our house this afternoon as the draw was being made, i would say no, it is still there for us. Plus I really get the feeling that NA is the same. He gets very animated when interviewed about the cup and that is awesome to see. Also, did you here those sycophantic commentators today - " Sir Alex, always has a love for the fa cup". Jesus!
  9. I had totally forgotten just how sh1te we were just a couple of years ago. What a difference to the team we have now. Excluding Davis, there is not a player in that team that I would have in the 2011 squad, let alone team!
  10. Sorry, I meant at the time......
  11. Seriously?
  12. Hasnt this already been done to death already? But yeah, you are spot on, pricing for round 1 should be exactly the same as round 4. Silly of me.
  13. For it to be the same situation, we would have to be playing at OT though, surely?
  14. NC made a big deal of some tin-pot chairman seeing his team play AWAY at a big ground and thinking he could make a few bucks from the home teams fans. NC decided that us, the most loyal fans, should not pay extra in order to increase Shrewsbury's share, who were only ever going to bring about 20 supporters. If he chooses to charge £30 now, it is because he feels that is the correct price considering the importance of the match and the strength of the opponent, and not so Man U can make a quick buck from our supporters. Not much wrong in that in my eyes!
  15. Seabourne was injured for the games against Posh & Seagulls. Hope that helps.
  16. 10 million. hmmm. We are looking to build a squad capable of competing for promotion from the championship. What would be more beneficial. A 17 year old who, whilst very good, is no world beater at the moment, or 3 or 4 proven quality championship players? I know what I would prefer. So whilst its great to have these youngsters coming in, if silly money is offered, we should take it imho.
  17. In fact, of our 11 clean sheets this season, Dan has been CB for 8 of them! I still cannot see why people think he is so carp!
  18. This. I think he is an excellent center back and would much rather he played than Jahidi. He won everything in the air , which RJ does, however when he did win his headers, they went forwards. His distribution is 10 times better than RJ, whos clearances generally end up in touch, plus he is much faster. We do seem to keep more clean sheets with him in than with him out which is surely the telling factor. I would be gutted to see him go.
  19. To be fair, we cant really have it both ways. Either the FL force them to play them and trigger the unsustainable contracts, or the FL monitor their finances and stop them from screwing it all up again. I am guessing this would fall under the "satisfactory reason" bit.
  20. Chaplow maybe
  21. Keep that up and we end up with 84 points. Not quite good enough for the title, but should get us that auto spot!
  22. I dont think he would be happy being second choice to AOC and if he is not happy, he will not play well. Sometimes, players just do not fit into a team. I think we should just try to ghet us much as we can for him, then look elsewhere.
  23. Doesnt a hernia op keep you out for a couple of months? I think the idea is to try and nurse him through to the end of the season and get him sorted during the summer.
  24. Blackpool don't have it.
