Bored of the golden globes so asked the wife. She replied with: Ricky lambert, 'there used to be a matt letissier', Jose fonte, Kelvin Davis, Alan Lallana, but I think she was cheating with my iPhone...
Just want to say thanks for a great read as usual. You are doing a fine job and I look forward to reading the blog after every game. It's as if one of my mates went to the game and filled me in on the details when I couldn't make it. And I, er... don't get to go too often these days!
Cheers.
An epic thread, I'm sure all can agree.
He's my all-time favourite player but he couldn't even sit on the bench without getting injured these days. (splinter in arse / dislocated shoulder reaching for hidden snacks / heart attack when Nige gestures at him to warm up)
Great post. I would've thought the club would want to do something to mark the anniversary, especially as it falls exactly on the 100 year anniversary. If they don't however, I don't think we should use it as the latest stick to beat the club / NC with.
Not just talking about today, I've experienced many a match thread when The Alpine is awoken by Davis picking the ball out of his net and kicking it back to the centre circle.
It would still be relentlessly negative if you only posted once a game, based on the last couple of years. Your first post in the match thread seems to always appear straight after the first opposition goal, as if you were asleep in Kelvin's goal and got hit in the face.
That may well be the case, but the relentlessness of your deliberate negativity would be just as painfully annoying to me if you had attended every home game since birth.
I agree with 'Embarrassing'.
And particularly like the part about 'Attention Seekers'.
To be fair, the "alpine doesnt know what hes talking about" has come from reading half the stuff you write. You could live in a
tent outside the stadium and it would still be just as negative, divisive and out of touch.
IMHO of course.
