It was something big apparently. Probably deciding how much of the VVD money we will have to give to MP on account of him being rubbish and us having to sack him.

The moral of this season is that it is on reflection better to sell than keep players who don’t want to be at Saints. We cannot yet make the transition into a holding club. Better to go no holds barred in the other direction and go with a mix of experience and youth. Served us well in the past. With a manager who knew his onions, not a charlatan with a nice suit

But most of the time he just ran into space, then got a nose bleed realising he was actually in their half, veered off and stopped before turning and misplacing a pass back. He was utter dross. Really appalling.

It was like a lower League One game, only with less passion. Dire beyond words. And a less motivated team I've yet to see. This must be down to the 'manager'

Except it wasn't working. The central midfield had big holes that any half decent manager would have noticed and plugged. It was crying out for Hoj to add his skills and Redmond to be swapped for Boufal because we needed to press home our advantage and take the game away. But once again MP couldn't see that and doesn't have the balls to put the game out of reach. Rather, he resorts to caution and we end up conceding again. It's pathetic really. It was so blindingly obvious to most of the stadium but not the one that matters. We needed three points here as you don't get anything for narrow losses against the big teams. MP seems to think you do. He has to go - and should have gone four weeks ago really. We're dicing with death even more now.
