Have you checked today’s date?

Always prioritise the next game. This is a chance to get to Wembley for a cup semi, they don’t come round often. I don’t see the sense in prioritising Wrexham which we may well lose anyway, and it may not even matter if we do, just to improve playoff chances which is nowhere near a guarantee of getting to the Prem where we’ll just lose every week anyway?

I feel like if he even plays half of the minutes from those 8+ games, we’re doing well out of him. Such a shame that he can’t be relied on and he can’t ever get a proper run of games to play himself into form. The other worry is we’re very reliant on Larin staying fit, he’ll need to chip in with a lot of minutes too.

Assuming it’s about not having season tickets due to distance away from Southampton
-
Any reason Peretz went off at HT?
-
He’s a big lump and is/was clearly unfit, though it looks to be improving. He could lose a good 5-10kg and still be a big lump, but maybe a bit more mobile. Would be interesting to see how he got on after a proper pre season

The Chrissy Baird set piece vs Cardiff (I think?) in front of the Northam is probably one of the most underrated goals in Saints history. Lay off, laces through it, fuck off.
-
All while feeling like we’re not really clicking every other game and having to grind it out. Think this international break will be huge for us if we can get everyone rested and fit

Quality finish from Azaz with a nice assist from Larin. A blatant penalty turned down by a useless ref made it way more of a game than it might’ve been, and required heroics form Peretz. A bit concerning how Norwich were able to play between the lines with ease even when we sat in a low block that was supposed to shut that down, it was far too easy all night. Decent away performance from them but they just came up against a keeper who was having none of it. Very rare to see wins like that from Saints and a very handy string to the bow if we’re serious about a push for promotion via the playoffs

We absolutely bottled it last time we got this close and went on a horrendous run. No room for error now with this few games left. A point wouldn’t be the worst tonight but a win really sets us up for the run in
-
Oh right thanks. Said mate clearly wasn’t looking hard enough
-
Need to get the FAB on this ASAP

After a spare in the Northam for tonight if anyone has a ticket but can’t make it and want to sell it on? It’s sold out now. Usually the midweek games have loads of gaps so thought it’d be worth asking. Failing that someone might have an answer to this - can you just walk into the Northam from the Kingsland corner or are the stewards on top of it there?
-
Our last midweek performance after a fantastic weekend win against a decent side was completely lacking energy and ideas, hopefully Tonda has worked out how to get them up for this one. Hope the crowd is up for it too, it’s been so flat at SMS recently

Absolute donkey, still

Dreadful game of football this. Infuriating that we butchered 2 opportunities to beat Pompey and also mad that we’re level points with such a shite Derby side
-
Can’t really disagree can you?
-
They’re a good shout for playoffs IMO

Fucking excellent away performance. The frustration for me is where the hell was that intensity and commitment on Wednesday? Today’s result makes that less relevant, but what a difference. Thought the ref gave us more than our share of 50/50s in the first half but not nearly as biased as Fat Frank will have you believe. Peretz MOTM. Who’d have known a goalkeeper who can actually keep the ball out of the net and organise a back 4 was so crucial to winning football games
-
Not sure. We’d give up some control and bite in midfield with those 2 on. One of them maybe, game would be too stretched with both IMO and not sure that suits us
-
That’s clever from Tonda I think, set us up to shithouse a 1-0 win from a set piece or own goal from our only foray into Coventry’s half. Great to see how adaptable he’s becoming to different types of challenge
-
They weren’t in and around the bottom 3 at the time
-
‘Tightness’. Sadly he’s a crock and we’ll never be able to rely on him to play regularly, occasional involvement at best
-
It was absolutely negligent to persist with him for so long, even over McCarthy who at least has some of the basic attributes required to be a goalkeeper, such as saving shots and collecting crosses. Madness that so many managers saw value in Bazunu just because he could pass with his feet. Must’ve been coming from above, there’s no other logical reasoning
-
It’s not easy, but made far harder when nobody in front of the ball was showing for it. The fans were screaming for them to move it quicker and for some movement in the middle and that’s fair enough IMO. We were painful to watch, everyone wanting 3-5 touches to move it across the back line and switching wings, giving WBA all the time in the world to get across. We had to move it quicker to create overloads but didn’t and that’s frustrating. Azaz had a stinker, his touch was off and passing range wasn’t there. But he certainly wasn’t helped by what was around him. I don’t see why you’re unhappy with others for pointing that out.
