  1. 4-0 Saints. They were conceding goals for fun before beating Leicester 1-0, and they’re useless. Coventry and Ipswich both put 3 past them in recent times. Start fast and blow them away, loads of fun for the travelling fans.
  2. Apparently their right back situation is a problem area for them. Give Leo a start and surely would make sense to give Welington lots of minutes as he’ll be playing at Wembley. Manning can come back in on Tuesday so everyone is fresh. You’d assume Downes, Jander, Stewart will be back in too. They won at Leicester last time out which was their first in 5. Decent enough draws with Boro and Sheff Utd before that, and comfortable defeats to Coventry and Wrexham before that.
  3. Was saying this last night, he was gassed after about 15 mins in his first few appearances and couldn’t even think about pressing. He was everywhere last night, looks so much fitter and faster. Really happy for him with the WC approaching
  4. Been saying for ages that 84 points will be enough and I firmly believe that’s still the case. I’m not saying I think we’ll get the 84 but if we did, we’ll be up in 2nd. Millwall have an easy run in but only 1 win in 5, all we’d need is for them to draw one. Ipswich’s away form is shite and they’ve got Boro next then 3 aways on the spin, then QPR who like they can play all of a sudden. Tough run in considering their away form. Swansea away will be tough for us and Bristol City have improved under Woy. Would be class if we went into the Ipswich game still in the mix.
  5. Brilliant first goal that, defence splitting pass from Matsuki, great run and cross from Archer and Larin got up to full speed just in time for an easy tap in, left his man for dead. Shame Matsuki fluffed that chance as it would’ve killed the game earlier, things are going well if that’s the biggest grumble. On to the next
  6. I really don’t care who wins at Fratton night. Ipswich drop points? Great, heaps the pressure on them to win a few. Pompey get battered? Great, send the fuckers down for another decade in League One

    Daniel Peretz

He’s good enough. Then add that his wages will be far less and we could get a decent fee for selling Ramsdale, it’s a no brainer. I wonder if it rides on us going up though, he may well have better offers if we don’t
  8. It’s still on until it isn’t. Tuesday night: Saints 3-1 Blackburn Pompey 2-1 Ipswich With Ipswich still to come to SMS it could still happen. Their effective game in hand on us will be WBA away when we’re at Wembley, that’s a tough game with them still fighting to stay up. I maintain that if we get 84 points, could just about be enough
  9. While we were in control first half I thought we moved the ball far too slowly, a bit too obsessed with possession rather than trying to create. Was surprised how flat the atmosphere was considering how we’re doing but maybe it was just because of a flat performance. Their plan was to kick us off the park but their goal woke us up and the 2nd half was far better. As others have said, Jander and Downes were class in there today. Very tidy finish from Leo and maybe a bit of fortune for our 2nd. Bearing in mind the ref didn’t want to blow up for anything, the free kick that led to our winner was very soft and their keeper will be disappointed not to have got something on it. Shame that Ipswich won but nobody else in the top 6 did, that cements our place
  10. Weird take. If they lose tomorrow and we win we’re only 3 behind them and still have to play them at home. All to play for
  11. I think 84 points would just about do it. Anything less would be very difficult to imagine. Boro are in bottom half form so would need a big uptick to pick up 12 points from 5. Ipswich and Wrexham away and Pompey at home next where they always seem to crumble against shit sides Millwall’s run in is very easy on paper would need them to lose one they’d expect to win. W4 L1 = 84 points Ipswich have a big fixture pile up like us but some tough games, 2 home games and 5 away. Norwich away next where they’re notoriously bad. W3 D2 L2 or W4 L3 = 83/84 points. Could happen. I don’t think for a minute we’ll win every game, but if we do then I think it’d be enough, possibly on GD
  12. Every single game is must win to keep the very slim chance of 2nd place alive. Let’s hope Ipswich play like they usually do in the old farm derby and we keep the pressure on after they drop points. Derby are short on options up top with Agyemang injured and Diaz unable to play. It’ll be Morris up top on his own. Expect another rotation from Tonda to keep the legs fresh and intensity high. Would like to see something like: Peretz Bree THB Stephens Welington Downes Jander Fellows Azaz Scienza Stewart
  13. Seen a couple of Wrexham games recently where they’ve been absolutely dreadful first half then come back into it. Vs Watford in particular, they were horrendous and didn’t have a shot in the first half. Could do with a fast start tonight I reckon
  14. Had a glance on their forum and a couple of people saying they’re vulnerable to pacy/tricky wingers. Would be great for Fellows to find some form, Sceinza back fit, Welington too maybe
  15. Path of least resistance for me!
  16. City vs Chelsea please
  17. That’s the best I’ve heard SMS ever. They were there for the taking and thank god we’ve got a few players who have the balls to respond to the crowd’s belief these days. Plenty of full grown men with various injuries from celebrating that and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Scenes
  18. Doable but we’d have to be almost perfect, we’re still 8 points behind Boro and surely they’ll sort themselves out at some point. Lose on Tuesday and it’s out of reach probably. Just got to make sure we’re top 6 which is a bonus in itself considering we didn’t start our season til November
  19. Impressive collapse from Boro. They’d be the ones to play assuming we’re 5th or 6th. Haven’t won at home since January
  20. Hoping Millwall grow into this one just for entertainment purposes
  21. They’ve done that loads of times recently at home and managed to fuck it up. Millwall should still fancy it if it stays 1-0
  22. Yeah “family area” apparently. Adult tickets only £20 vs £28 in safe standing
  23. Yeah cost me £95 on the train from Soton, scandalous. Hoping for a good day out for that
  24. Fairly limited. Few left in safe standing and that outer block just gone on by the looks of it
