If we ever win something, then yes.

It's been pretty good entertainment and has helped me pass these boring long nightshifts. I've almost enjoyed the lunatic's company. Back to normality in a week or so, so I'll be back to catching up on this nonsense just every now and then.
-
I wouldn't bet on it.

You're not in Dubai by any chance are you?

Neighbour - "Hey SarniaSaint, did you hear about that firearm death down the road today?" SarniaSaint - "Yeah, well at least it wasn't murder. I heard it was just little Joey playing with his daddy's shotgun and he blew his sister's head off". *shrugs* Dumb.
-
Surely then it makes sense to have stricter gun laws, if lots of firearms deaths are 'accidents' and completely avoidable with a bit of common sense?

"If you spend £100m you really should be fighting for the title"
-
Why would you need that when you can just get hysterical and tell everyone they're wrong, even when presented with evidence to back up their points?

I just stumbled upon this, on Facebook, and thought it was relevant: "TO ARGUE WITH A PERSON WHO HAS RENOUNCED THE USE OF REASON IS LIKE ADMINISTERING MEDICINE TO THE DEAD." Thomas Paine, English-American political activist, writer and revolutionary.
-
Should've been more clear about that. Sorry.

Can't stand listening to Americans/Candians talking about soccerball. Cringey. Some horrendously drawn out speeches there. Biggest cheer of the night was when Jose mentioned Morgan staying by the sounds of it.

It was in today's (Tuesday) Sun. Mark Irwin's name next to it. Not even an attempt at a made up quote, pure speculation.

Sorry, just under 2,200,000. I'll make sure I'm more accurate with my research.

Noted.

I don't like that they say it because it's Liverpool when they'd never say it about Saints, however I think they're absolutely right. What has Sterling actually achieved? **** all. I can't see one of these top Eurpean clubs coming in with £50m for him. Would he really start regularly for Barca or Real, Chelsea, Bayern? I doubt it. It's funny because it's Liverpool, but I hate how agents big their players up to the extent that they feel they've got the right to demand the world. I hope his career goes significantly downhill.

Thanks for the reporting SA. I'll always wish NA well, absolute hero and a ridiculously nice guy.
-
I doubt it. That club is rotten to the core and Fernandes is almost wholly responsible. Just believes that throwing money at it is the only way, so short sighted. Redknapp was the perfect man until he failed. I doubt NA would have ever gone for that job, even if promised time to rebuild you know he'd be gone in no time.

Just because it's going down doesn't mean it's not a problem. The law is the problem, it's fundamentally f*cked. But no worries, we'll just sit around and wait for the next weirdo to go and shoot up a school. UK - roughly 60 gun murders per year USA - roughly 11000 gun murders per year. All because of some massively outdated 'constitutional right'. The UK isn't without its problems, obviously. But this thread is about what is wrong with America. In my opinion, having people legally wandering about with a weapon designed for killing people is plain stupid. And then there's locking up 2,000,000 people and having whole communities relying on people being locked up in those prisons, but that's another argument.

A friends of mine moved up to Cockermouth a few years ago. We went up for his wedding, lovely part of the world. Not sure I'd like to live up north, but it's definitely nice to go sometimes and take in the scenery.

Whatever it was, it's resulted in a shoot-out in the middle of a public place in the middle of the day, ending up with 9 dead. It's a f*cking ridiculous thing to happen. But the laws there, and the fact that there are more guns than there are people, it's always going to happen. But accepting that that kind of thing can just happen, risking lives of passers-by, members of the public, police, it's just madness. Life shouldn't be so cheap in such a developed country. It shouldn't still be the Wild West. Surely you can see that gun crime in America is ridiculously out of control.
-
It should be enouranged then? Or just accepted?
-
'kin 'ell.... I don't mean the specifics. I mean a culture and set of laws that make this kind of thing a regular inevitability. Are you this angry all of the time? I'm just glad I live in a place where a brawl is unlikely to result in much more than a broken nose, rather than being shot dead on the pavement.
-
A bar brawl resulting in 9 dead, that's what.
