Take the yellow and blue specs off mate (though the Gaston complaint has some merit)

De Ridder on... We've been so flat in this 2nd half. We don't seem to play well from behind, reminds me of the Sunderland 2nd half (but with the punishment of goals conceded) -

Awful defending. Mata had the freedom of the left wing! Not a player in sight! -
I'm enjoying seeing the likes of Shrewsbury trickle further and further away from the few. Now 12 points off safety after the deduction! If anyone is feeling a little down about the Stoke result, then this will surely cheer you up. Yeovil FFS! These teams aren't big enough to grace the Fratton turf let alone take the 3 points! (or so they think)

Since he's been back in the team: Reading (H) - Clean Sheet Sunderland (H) - Almost let one in through his legs Fulham (A) - To blame for their goal Stoke (A) - Poor in the air, to blame for their second Not good enough for EPL
-
What a sensational game, that is what the Premier League is all about. Stoke were absolutely sensational in that 2nd half, the sheer drive and determination that they feed off Pulis and their fans is absolutely awe inspiring. Any team would have found holding on to a two goal lead tough today. It hurts though, Guly had a strong game but that miss was horrible. J-Rod should have tucked away his effort just before, so he isn't solely to blame. If it was 4-1, I think the fight would have evaporated from Stoke's game and we would have won comfortably. The effort on display from most of the lads today was fantastic and that sort of spirit will have to continue if we are to stay up. It's going to be damn difficult. While we all feel a little deflated at the point, it is more than we expected to get AND we have to remember that we rode our luck. Stoke won't defend as bad as they did in that first half again for a while, plus Clattenburg missed a blatant penalty when Fonte handled the ball. Fonte would have also received a 2nd yellow and we'd have been looking at a defeat. Davis - 5 - Poor today, never dealt with the threat of the long throw effectively and could have saved the 2nd. Distribution was average. Yoshida - 8 - Absolutely fantastic performance, gutsy, great tackling, real stand out for me Fonte - 7 - Solid, blocked several shots/headers Hooiveld - 6 - Never looked as assured with the ball at his feet but he never f**ked up! Yay! Shaw - 6 - Struggled today but his pace and his effort made up for it often Schneiderlin - 7 - Solid, played his part Cork - 8 - Seemed to be everywhere in the middle of the park Puncheon - 7 - Sometimes he's magical, sometimes he keeps the ball a bit too long. Seemed to overhit a lot. Good effort though. Guly - 7 - Great assist for the first, worked really hard. Shame about that miss, it was awful! Rodriguez - 7 - Impressive, could have made it 4-1. Worked hard. Lambert - 8 - MOTM - Superb when he got the opportunity. 1 goal, 2 assists. Top class. Won't grade the subs, they came on too late!
-
Utterly abject. Disgusting performance. Half the team didn't look interested, must have felt down because of the rain. Lambert did nothing, Mayuka was disappointing, De Ridder was about as exciting as a hard boiled egg and Puncheon looked like his dog had died. Where was Rodriguez? FFFFFFFFFFFFFFSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Massive response required at Fulham after that disgrace.
-
Ramirez gives the ball away at an alarming rate. Lacklustre
-
Been a good performance defensively and in midfield, just the final ball has been poor from Puncheon. Mayuka and Lambert aren't offering as much as you'd hope for

After intense negotiations with several world class actors it is with great pleasure that Nutjob Productions announces details of its cast for the upcoming cinema epic: PAY UP POMPEY All of the actors are said to be excited and honoured to be working in such a massive movie. Several actors have even ripped up contracts elsewhere to come to be a part of this spectacularly plucky production. "Heroes become villains become heroes become villains, it's going to be an edge of your seat, non-stop, unpredictable thriller!" (The Guardian) "This film will have a heart, and its heartbeat will sound throughout the film industry forever" (Micah Hall) "This movie has a great spirit" (Avram Grant) "They said it would become a movie. well now it has. the ending isn't very fair though" (Neil Allen) "It's the bestest and most loyalest film in the world, but I'm not happy about appearing in this movie without any image rights" (Sol Campbell) AN ALL STAR CAST CAN BE REVEALED! Samuel L Jackson as Balram Chainrai, the man who is secured, the man who will get his money back, by any means possible. Charlie Sheen as Peter Storrie, financial wizard. Jack Nicholson as Arcadi Gaydamak, the arms dealer who always gets what he wants. Orlando Bloom as Sacha Gaydamak, he bought the FA Cup then left them to rot without a care in the world. Morgan Freeman as Kanu, the oldest football player in the world. Michael Caine as Harry Redknapp, the man with more off-shore bank accounts than wrinkles on his skin. Matt Lucas as Avram Grant, his spirit was never broken. Helena Bonham Carter as Avram's Special Friend, her spirit was. John C Reilly as David Lampitt, a sneaky and slightly childish looking man who once pretended to run a football club. Bill Nighy as Trevor Birch, the honourable administrator whose life and career is falling apart in front of his very eyes. Ralph Fiennes once again is Lord Voldemort, who plans to have his day with the evil Football League. Andrew Andronikou as Andrew Andronikou, the administrator who cuts to the bone while offering his signature along the way. Christoph Waltz as Vladimir Antonov, a Russian businessman with a dark secret. Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Tal Ben Haim, always first in line to pick up his weekly pay packet. Omid Djalili as Sulamain Al-Fahim, the ambitious but definitely delusional fake sheikh who conducts his business over Twitter. David Tennant as Steve Cotterill, his team always deserved the three points. Ruth Jones as Penny Mordaunt, the local MP who will do anything to win your vote. and Rowan Atkinson as a Journalist, the bestest journalist on all of the South Coast. & Many Many More!

R Estates (2010) Limited.... Active? Could this be the intended 'REL'? Could this be the problem? For some reason?

The best thing for me about this performance was the amount of genuine goalscoring chances we created compared to the amount of genuine goalscoring chances we gave up. Only twice Gazzaniga was forced into making 2 serious saves, while at the other end we literally could have had 6 or 7, particularly if the goals were one inch wider and one inch taller. We're giving away possession a lot less, Cork seems to have made a difference here. Shaw was once again solid and there are not enough superlatives to describe his potential. Norwich will be a tougher test, a win would be a massive result and a real statement of intent.
-
OK, OK, OK.... ref didn't have his best game for sure, those throw in decisions were laughable and he gave both teams some strange decisions for and against. He just had a poor game, he isn't biased as a few of you are suggesting! Anyone notice Mike Dean last weekend vs QPR......? It's not nonsense. Have a go and see for yourself. Yes he was onside, that but that is the hardest possible onside decision to get correct. At EPL level that should be called correctly most of the time, but to state it is 'CLEARLY' onside is ridiculous!
-
Just been announced. Good luck to him.

In other news, according to BBC their team today was: 01 Andersen 03 Harley 15 Dickinson 16 Gyepes 20 Michalik 08 Howard 19 Russell 23 Allan 26 Mendez-Laing 09 McLeod 14 Benson 13 Eastwood 06 Walker 18 Ertl 22 Webster 33 Rocha 11 Compton 21 Harris I was fairly certain that Dickinson had already left the club? As it was his departure that enabled Rocha to come in under the 20 squad limit? A look at players who were available (if fit) to play for the cheats against Orient but were not named in the 18 man squad: Buzsaky, Dumbuya, Williamson TOTAL: 21 I'm right, yes?
-
Frustrated Pompey fan: McLeod wasn't bood by everyone, just Orient fans from what I heard as well as a few in the fratton end. He is useless and a waste of money but he's one of us and we get behind him as he's Pompey. 10k of us (and there were at least 13k by what I could see) make more noise than 30k deck chairs anyway. Anyway, wasn't your chairman a tank driver? Classy.
-
Cork has done really well in both games and has certainly contributed to those 4 points, but he has played games against Swansea and QPR, which cannot compare to some of the tougher games we had in the early stages of this season. Lets see how he goes against the big boys!
-
Great result! Had 3-1 with Ramirez to score anytime but not even that takes any shine off today! Solid performance, not too many mistakes and the boys kept to their task. Some of our football was superb, but we can still be guilty of over-playing. We can improve on this performance (which has to be viewed as a positive!). Puncheon excellent, Luke Shaw out of this world for a 17 year old. Might consider dropping Gazza, but only if Fonte/Yoshida want this to happen. Happy, happy, happy

The reality is that all football authorities and the court of law will bend over backwards to ensure that Portsmouth survive and thrive. I fully expect the Football League to deduct them no more points than the 10 and I even have my doubts that they will deduct that 10. The other 23 clubs in the league don't have the same power as Pompey and won't have the balls to confront the FL. When it comes to the valuation of Fratton Park in the courts, it is obvious that the facts will be thrown out the window and Chainrai will be forced to sell up for a figure less than 3 million. Why we are even getting excited about this beggars belief, Chainrai will lose. The courts will bow down to the pressure and will NOT want to be seen as the people who kill Portsmouth FC. They will make 100% sure that they come out of this looking sweet. Nobody wants to be seen as the man who killed Portsmouth FC. That is why they will survive and thrive. Nobody will question their spending. Nobody will question the 'fans' who 'own' the club. All the authorities will be leniant once again when it does go pop and say the fans deserve a 2nd chance. It's a never ending story.
-
The one thing that astounds me is that Neil Allen genuinely believes Pompey have the "third or fourth least expensive squad" in the division. What on earth is he smoking? You would have to be retarded to believe that. Cheats FC: Buszaky, Williamson, Howard, Gyepes, Michalik, Harley, McLeod, Allan...... Yeovil: Madden, Hayter, Ayling, Burn, Smith, Marsh-Brown, Foley, Burn, Stech....... There's just one comparison. Pompey will definitely have the highest average wage per player in the division.
-
Josh Thompson obviously couldn't handle the pressure of being at a massive club. It was a significant step up for the lad.
-
Another frustrating afternoon..... pretty deflated! Adkins could do no more, it was a solid tactical display. Didn't need any substitutes bar the one he made. On to QPR which is an absolutely massive match. If we lose that one then QPR will find some form and pull away, then all of a sudden we're climbing Mount Everest as opposed to Ben Nevis.
-
Defs Buzsaky, he was turning down Championship clubs, think it was Bristol City who offered him 6k a week.
