  1. The innocent story of Liam Lawrence: http://imgur.com/YpEge
  2. Where are all these bids for your players then Trev? I thought July was when all those clubs 'queuing up' to make offers for the plucky heroes would finally make their move?
  3. The way I see it, something has got to give soon. I expect Birch to not liquidate the club even if none of the high earners leave in the next 3 weeks. This story has gone on for so long that Pompey won't be going down without a fight. This will end up in an ugly court battle, Birch will have to be dragged out of the office kicking and screaming before liquidation goes ahead. He doesn't have the balls. His interest is clearly not with the creditors, but seeing Pompey become successful. He's just like the rest of them. I'd even expect them to win at court, because again I'm not convinced anyone has the balls to kill this cesspit of a football club. I can see another repeat of the 'Injustice Mann' scenario... The figures don't stack up, but that won't stop him. He'll just destroy the evidence. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if he tried to that with Tal Ben Haim...
  4. No, no, no..... there's the Tesco, but where is the statue outside of the TCWTB?
  5. Add Luke 'forgettable' Varney onto that list and you have a total of around $125,000 being deferred a week, up to almost $1.9 MILLION since the wage deferrals began.
  6. The revelation that was somewhat skipped over by most on here was that Birch had put a $5000 (sorry the $ - don't have pounds on my keyboard) ceiling on all weekly wages. SO: Tal Ben Haim: $36,000. Deferred Amount: $31,000 King Kanu: $13,000. Deferred Amount: $8,000 Liam 'ticket office' Lawrence: $20,000. Deferred Amount: $15,000 Dave '20 Goals a Season' Kitson: $20,000. Deferred Amount: $15,000 David Norris: $20,000. Deferred Amount: $15,000 Erik the Viking: $15,000. Deferred Amount: $10,000 Aaron Mokoena: $10,000. Deferred Amount: $5,000 Hayden Mullins: $15,000. Deferred Amount: $10,000 Greg '14 days notice' Halford: $10,000. Deferred Amount: $5,000 APPROXIMATE DEFERRED TOTAL PER WEEK: $114,000 TOTAL DEFERRED SINCE ADMINISTRATION APPROX: $1.7 MILLION That's 1.7mil that those players will never ever see again, no matter what they say, no matter what they sign, no matter over how many years they agree to that money being paid back. So what does this mean for football? In my opinion, it means that pompey have gained an unfair sporting advantage by buying players that they cannot afford, therefore denying other teams the chance to have these players at their disposal. And yet, the Football League does f**k all about it. Surely they should be punished for this too!
  7. Also my favourite annual sporting event, and also pretty hopeful that Wiggins can bring it home for Britain. Don't underestimate how big an impact a win for him would have in the UK. Hundreds of Thousands celebrated Australia's first win last year in the streets of Melbourne to welcome home Cadel Evans and I'd think we'd see something similar for Wiggins in London. Would be a fantastic sporting boost for the country ahead of the Olympics. A bit concerned however you believe the Cofidis conspiracy theory that Fabian Cancellara uses a motor on his bike in the Time Trials. Or is there another reason that this is on a 'Motor'ing forum?
  8. "Do you want to see your children again?" Now how long do we wait before the FL roll over? Then how long do we wait until Appy spends millions on new signings?
  9. Q1. Will the creditors accept Portpin's CVA proposal? A) No, they will scoff at the offer and stand up in unison and demand answers as to why they have been cheated out of so much money B) Yes, after all it is a generous offer from Mr Chainrai C) The Trust confuses the matter and buggers up Chainrai's plans, deferring the situation for a number of weeks Q2. What sort of day will Neil Allen have? A) An absolutely terrible day, where he gets abused on Twitter for bemoaning the unfairness of the creditors expecting more than 2% B) A pretty decent day at the office, smugly portraying how this is the first step in Pompey's climb back to the Premier League C) Neil Allen will ignore all events at Fratton Park and instead focus on how Southampton's Alex O-C wasn't worth the risk vs Italy Q3. What will Trevor Birch say after the Creditors Meeting? A) Express his disappointment at the creditors for not accepting Portpin's offer and attempts to make them feel guilty over the situation B) Jubilantly declares Pompey are on the road to recovery and promises that Appy will get a 'considerable' transfer budget C) "Today, I am liquidating Portsmouth Football Club" D) Diverts attention away from the meeting and instead launches an immoral attack on the Football League Q4. Will HMRC accept Chinny's CVA Proposal? A) No. B) No. C) Yes, because Pompey have the bestest fans in the world and if any team deserves to be let off around 40 million of tax, it's Portsmouth Q5. What will Tal Ben Haim wake up to in the morning? A) Breakfast in Bed courtesy of Mr Chainrai B) His wages, fully paid and up to date C) An angry mob of skates demanding he forfeits the money he isn't rightfully owed by poor plucky pompey Q6. What will the Football League do today? A) Call a press conference and declare that they are deducting Pompey 30 points for numerous penalties in regards to their adminstration B) Roll the red carpet out for Appy and tell him he can sign any player he wants on the wages he wants, and promise no points penalties C) Continue to answer emails... "until the circumstances of their exit from administration becomes clear"... despite it becoming clear D) Congratulate the bestest fans in the world publically for their 'sensational' 'unrivalled' support during such trying times
  10. Appleton statement on the news that he would spend a little bit on a '20 goal a season' striker to secure promotion is nothing short of an absolute disgrace. Standard pompey. The Football League won't stand in their way either - woeful organisation. The special case continues.
  11. Birch is becoming extremely liable...... surely. The longer he continues to spend spend spend money they don't have, the more farcical this gets, and yet there is no rumour of actual liquidation, only deadlines that are set and then seemingly forgotten about. And now you could argue that Birch has f**ked up again, in the eyes of Pompey HQ, that's $30,000 they've just lost. They don't want to pay off the charities, THAT DOESN'T MATTER, what really matters is that Tal Ben Haim gets his dosh for 6 hard days work watching repeats of 'Hustle' on his 56 inch LCD TV. On another note - these wage deferrals, does anyone actually know how much this would approximately amount to? It has to be at least a million you'd think. Not a hope in hell Pompey have that money, their only chance is if Balram's weapons of mass destruction have made it through customs and if the carpet at the Football League still has some space under it for some dead bodies.
  12. Do you really think Lance would risk the validity of his 7 Tour de France titles and his reputation on taking drugs during his comeback years? If a man is that stupid then I'd be surprised if he could write his own name. He had a pretty good comeback first time out but his performance dwindled in the 2nd of those years. Can't say any reason why he'd be taking drugs when he was achieving nothing but improving upon his Livestrong brand. Everyone of course hopes that he is genuine and until any proper, qualified evidence comes through he is clearly innocent, and this for me is just more dirt being unfairly thrown at him.
  13. Or Birch contracts the Pompey disease and just carries on regardless... who cares if PKF begin to become liable, there's more than enough room under the carpet.
  14. I hope people don't begin to expect this, or even be disappointed if we don't come close to this! Realistically chasing for Europe is a pipe dream when we have just been promoted. Sure, Newcastle did it, but it will be unlikely they will also be chasing Top 4 next season. Plus Newcastle are quite clearly a bigger club than ourselves. I will always remember what Charlton fans said upon Curbishley's departure. "Mid-Table Premier League, not going anywhere. Not good enough..." 3 years after a mid-table finish they were in League One. So lets just hope that if Adkins gets the sack in 2015 when we're sitting a comfortable 11th that some of our fans don't list similar reasons for why he deserved it. Lets build and build slowly. Survive, survive again, then build in a sustainable manner.
  15. Do the Football League know about this? Do any journalists around the country know about this? Do any of the other 23 clubs in League One know about this?
  16. Does anyone seriously expect the FL to actually do anything? They will make sure plucky Pompey are given all they want. I'd be stunned if they did anything drastic. They wouldn't dare tarnish they're image. Nobody wants to be the man that killed poor innocent sweet plucky Pompey and they're supa-dupa fans that are by far the bestest in the universe.
  17. Looks like my refereeing for that weekend could entail a trip to Wolves on Friday Night and an afternoon at Lions on Sunday afternoon. I gotta course to attend Saturday morning in Annerley, should be free from 1. May well be able to come along! Very rare I get Saturday's off nowadays. Afterwards there's some good local games on for anyone interested.
  18. Marsden v Ipswich (the one where he beats the whole team and walks it in) Camara v Norwich (great goal at a great time) Le Tiss v Arsenal (great goal at a great time)
  19. Very nice, some great goals. Schneiderlin's dink at Ipswich was unreal. Shame there was none of Guly's goals from our Boxing Day win over Palace as it was the only game I got to go to this season!!! Thanks
  20. For me seeing the team celebrate with Super Kelv after that heroic win at Leeds. As Neil Warnock would say, I don't know how the f**k we won that!
  21. Ward-Prowse had been mentioned as the next 'Walcott', 'Bale' and 'Oxlade-Chamberlain' not so long ago. As was Jake Sinclair. Maybe not so much now? No doubt they will both be good players though when they finally break through. Surely another thing we have to consider is the 25 squad rule, we won't be taking up many if any of these places up with some of our youngsters in case we have some bad luck with injuries. We don't want to be forced to play them (anyone remember a strikeforce of Best/Blackstock vs Everton in 2004?). Maybe a loan spell in the Championship for Ward-Prowse?
  22. If Pompey fold after the League 2 Play Off final but before the start of next season I believe League One would be competed between 23 teams and relegation spots altered accordingly. It's somewhere in the leagues rules. As for the Birch revelation..... nothing can surprise me anymore. They are the soap opera / comedy that keeps on giving. They take to cheating like a drug addict takes to cocaine. They will eventually die, probably from self-implosion.
  23. Will miss: Winning most games Not looking forward to: United fans giving it the large one when they beat us 1-0, opposition fans booing when we get a draw at their place, Managers needlessly blaming referees, Over-analysis on refereeing decisions, big time charlie's trying to cheat here there and everywhere, going into a game pipe dreaming of avoiding defeat
  24. Happy days are here again The future is bright, the future is red and white
  25. Yeah unbelieveable, jittery as f**k, back now though. Typically West Ham scored when I turned it over!!! 2-0
