  1. Nice little video/interview here from JWP. We are lucky to have him....
  2. Oh no... we are going there again. I thought Eric Black was the problem, and then it was definitely all down to Kelvin Davis? Now it must all be Kitzbichler's fault. None of us on here have any idea what sort of No.2 he is, how involved he is, what his tactics are like, what his relationship is like with the players, etc. He might be the best No.2 in the world or he could be the worst!? Because he sits back and lets Ralph do his job on the touchline doesn't automatically tell me he's bad at his job. You see Ralph speaking with him every game, and I cant see (from a distance here) what he's 'not' doing that all these other brilliant No.2's are.
  3. I'm never quite sure if suggestions like this are a joke? So apologies if its just gone over my head... But can you imagine the wages he would have been on at Chelsea, PSG and Arsenal, and he would command even more now he's on a Bosman.
  4. For anyone that might have missed it: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/football/58160127 I feel like we are in safe hands whilst those 3 are with us.
  5. I thought the club said it was starting ASAP to be finished for the October international break.
  6. I know it doesnt always play out this way, but Alireza Jahanbakhsh was the top scorer in Eredivisie 3 years ago. He went on to score 2 goals in 50 appearances for Brighton. But yeah, if he really is available for £5m then worth a punt
  7. I purchased mine over the phone yesterday and requested Kingsland seats, and was told it wont be open on Saturday as work still being done on seats and concourse.
  8. Maybe he doesn’t. Maybe Saints see £30m as a more attractive prospect than a demotivated player who goes for £0 in 9 months.
  9. A slightly different angle on this… if Villa really did offer/pay £30m for him, I’m sure Saints pushed him out of the door! We’d have to take that for a player who is 29, picks up a lot of niggles and had less than a year in his contract. It’s probably not the dream move he had hoped for either (City, Man Utd, Spurs, etc) but if they are paying him a lot more and have sold him an ambitious plan, then it suits all parties. I just hope we reinvest well.
  10. Out of interest when did you order? I ordered one on 16th June and still not arrived.
  11. Has there been any information from the club yet on 'Membership'? Would probably suit me better this season. Maybe that's their concern, and they worry more will opt for membership over ST's, so waiting to sell a few more of those first.
  12. I'm not so sure it will be the younger age groups for the earlier games, as I believe proof of double vaccination is going to be needed, is that right and confirmed? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/2021/07/13/covid-passports-masks-required-sporting-events-england-july/
  13. I think that's Sammy Lee? Played a couple of games on loan for us that season. Edit - Sorry, just read above that you know its Sammy Lee Tired... hungover...
  14. Its not for others to worry about what @manzo is worried about. Each to their own and all that.
  15. Can you let us know if it has the crest on when it arrives? Ive noticed that the pics have them blurred out, but not sure if thats to avoid any legal issues at point of sale or if they will actually be crest-less on arrival?
  16. How many years we have been at St.Mary's, I believe.
  17. I thought I recognised him 😁
  18. I would guess he chose what club to support based on more than just their kit!?
  19. I've also just read that he's scored the most non-penalty goals in the Premier League after Kane, since the start of last season! Would have been a useful asset. JWP better make the final squad
  20. He's played 97 games for us in the last 2.5 seasons, and scored 46 goals (he's had covid and a few niggles, but hardly glass and hardly meh). He played 30 games this season (some as sub) and scored 13 goals, which isnt a bad return when playing for a dross team. I feel gutted for him, and find it hard to believe there are 10 attackers picked who are better than him. 100% he would be going to the Euros with a return like that if he played for a 'bigger' club.
  21. Not by their fans he wasnt: https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2021/may/Martinez-voted-Supporters-Player-of-the-Season-/ But yes, he's had a great season. Sadly the timing wasnt right for us to be able to keep him for when we needed him a few years down the line. I wouldnt put any blame on Ralph, as we dont know the circumstances. I'd guess Targett was very keen to move there after a successful loan spell (and knowing he wouldnt get many games with us) and the bean-counters were probably glad of the money for a player who was only backup. Im sure given the choice, Ralph would have kept him.
  22. Quite incredible to think those 46 points gave us an 8th placed finish too!
  23. I don't believe there was, but I would still hazard a guess that 'if' we wanted to keep him, then Liverpool wouldn't take too much persuading. Personally I think we should let him go as we have better options, and they would probably want a decent fee for him and his wages are probably (Liverpool) high. Our tight budget could be spent better elsewhere IMHO.
  24. So, so, so important to us, as last night demonstrated. Fingers crossed he sticks around for a while longer... Most non-penalty Premier League goals since the start of last season: 33 — Kane 31 — Ings 30 — Salah & Sterling
  25. St Louis

    Che Adams

Why would we want to sell him if he has a good Euro 2020 and keeps up this scoring run til the end of the season? And given we will likely be selling Ings!?
