I probably agree that we're unlikely to get this one done, but it is actually true to say it's hard to push a deal through, especially in January when it's known that we have money, and in the modern era of aggressive agents touting players round as many clubs as they can. We might get him at the last moment if he sees no one else is coming in with a better offer and decides we're a stepping stone into the Prem. But greed rules everything. My view of it was that we stayed pretty well in control except for the last few minutes. Maybe that was because we had an extra defender. We'll never know what would have happened if we'd kept it the same, or brought on an attacking player. But if we'd gone all out attack and left ourselves open at the back, we'd probably have just the same critics on here saying MP should have reacted better to them bringing on big forwards. Maybe I'd have taken off Davis instead. There, are you happy now I've said something vaguely critical? It's bizarre how much anger there is on here today, when we've won.
