If we replicate our form so far this season, about 15. Not enough. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

We're now heading for just half of my original target - 6. If we can get a draw at Watford. Home games v Huddersfield, Leicester and Palace have killed us. Only overachievement was Man U. But close to beating the norm v Arsenal and Man C. Not looking good. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Good question. And there's a common pattern. Lemina and Gabbiadini both excellent starts, get injuries, come back as pale shadows. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I was at the match and I wouldn't blame the players. Conditions were truly awful and we did well to play any football in the first half. Their first goal was offside. I was right in line and everyone around me was dumbfounded that it was missed. It's on errors like that that teams get relegated. But the game was won by Hodgson and lost by Pellegrino in their reading of the game, tactics in the second half and subs. RH knew he had to change and brought on fresh attacking legs as we were tiring. Not rocket science. We needed an immediate response to avoid losing the midfield. Lemina for Tadic should have been a no-brainer. But MP puts on Davis for JWP, just a swap, no shoring up at all. Then they score so we are forced into attacking changes. By all means bring on Gabbiadini but why take off our most effective DM and further concede the midfield? Redmond was irrelevant. You could see by then heads had dropped with the players probably wondering why the headless chicken of a manager couldn't see the obvious and respond to help them do their job. For me, the best managers make a difference during the game, and MP doesn't. I can't defend him. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Hoedt was unavailable because of concussion. Otherwise I agree. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

The key thing was the awful subs. Totally wrong. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I am as angry as I've ever been as a Saints fan. A good first half, goal, control. But when they reacted and came at us, our manager showed utter lack of game management. If we're going to hang on, why no Lemina? Davis for JWP does nothing. And taking Hojbjerg off??!!!!! Clueless. I'm sorry for the team. They put a lot into that first half but were totally let down by an incompetent manager. He has to go. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Hopefully conducted by Saints-supporting medics who might just have overlooked something? [emoji15][emoji6] Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -

Intriguing comments from Klupp. Is he suggesting the newly-arrived Messiah isn't fit? https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.liverpoolfc.com/amp/news/first-team/285980-jurgen-klopp-on-when-virgil-van-dijk-will-make-lfc-debut#ampshare=http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/285980-jurgen-klopp-on-when-virgil-van-dijk-will-make-lfc-debut Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -
We didn't beat anyone at the San Siro. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

There's an argument for that. Also hope not too much rotation. McCarthy JWP Maya Stephens Hoedt McQueen Lemina Hojbjerg Boufal Long Gabbiadini Maybe Tadic for one of the front two. Maybe Davis for JWP, then a different shape. Not convinced by Stephens at RB. I thought we moved to a back five quite early yesterday, as above. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

But it might. This is the first game where he's had any official clout. He has to have been involved in FF being dropped. He could have changed the mood. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I'd have to think Kelvin was responsible for FF being dropped, but the increased commitment all round tonight was typical of him. Is this a master stroke? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

This is very true. So many posters can't think beyond "Things aren't going well, I'm not happy, sack the manager/DoF/tea lady" Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

And one bit of cheerful news that I'd missed is that Palace have a day less recovery time than us - only 54 hours, and after a tough game (Man C). If ever there will be a case for a high tempo game with as much pace and attacking intent as possible, it'll be the Palace game. As for United, park the bus and hope. No to Sturridge. Maybe to Walcott. Trouble is, agents know we have money and are in a spot if bother, so every want-away, greedy or has-been "thinks he's a big shot" will be touted our way at ridiculous prices and demanding stupid wages. We may need one experienced player to cement things together, but otherwise I'm still hoping for young hungry players with potential. Trouble us Saints aren't as attractive now as they were a couple of years ago. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

And potentially Hojbjerg and last season's Romeu. Cedric could be attractive. And a few more if the whole team gets motivated by a decent manager and starts playing to their potential. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -

I guess the club decided they were conceding and didn't want another saga like the summer. Get it over with and move on. And, if the promise to reinvest is genuine, gives us time to buy. Albeit at stupid prices as everyone knows we need fresh blood and have money. Which is why I seriously hope we already have two or three deals tied up. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk -
