  3. Anyone know what shirts we're wearing? I'm guessing red and white, but can't see it confirmed anywhere. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  4. This just feels like Sky trying to generate a betting market. Or his agent trying to pretend he's the next big star to leave Saints. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  6. Yes. I think Gabbiadini was doubly frustrated. With more time on the pitch against that defence, he'd have had good chances. The problem is, he's getting 5/10 mins at the of games replacing Long, when we've inevitably dropped back to hang on to (or more likely lose) a game, so he's an isolated single striker - a role Long plays well but Gabbiadini doesn't. He functions best when we're on the front foot with the creative players hopefully setting him up. There's an argument, particularly at home, for starting with Gabbiadini and using Long's pace later. And the second reason for frustration was that he fluffed the chance he got. A goal then would have put him back on MP's radar and boosted his confidence. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  8. Reflections on the day: Great day out. Excellent Saints support - loudest sustained noise I've heard for a while, and way better than at St Mary's. Overall a comfortable win, with only a couple of scares. Fulham weren't poor, but they weren't strong opposition either. We had several chances to put the game to bed - Stephens header against the bar, Hojbjerg shot saved, pen not given, Gabbiadini bad miss. Won't bother with all player ratings but a few mentions: Bedarnek did ok out of position. Defence generally pretty secure, looks better in front of McCarthy. Not sure Bertrand is giving 100%. Hojbjerg, JWP and Romeu good. Nice moments from Boufal and signs that he's learning to stop, look and think. Typical shift from Long and unlucky with the disallowed goal. Decent game from Davis, but not his best. Nowhere near as bad as some are trying to suggest. He held up the ball to create our goal. Gabbiadini - Rusty and frustrated. He needs time on the pitch. Lemina doesn't seem the player we saw in his first games. Is he still carrying an injury? Redmond poor. Manager: usual subs by numbers. No apparent ability to make proactive changes. Should have been Gabbiadini for Long earlier, Lemina for Davis, not Hojbjerg and either leave Boufal on or give Sims a run. Redmond is not the answer. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah. You may have a point. I'm going, so I'll let you know. I'll be cheering the team on. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  10. Just out of interest, there's not a majority obsessed with trying to get rid of the manager. The only "anti-manager" song from the crowd today was when he subbed Hojbjerg (which I agree was odd). I'm glad to say that for virtually all the game there was loud support for the team, as there should be. And it was way better than anything at St Mary's. Lots of noise on here pre-match about protests and anti-Pellegrino chants. It didn't happen at all. Maybe the real supporters who go to matches don't lap up everything on here. Not to say I'm happy, but if we jeer and undermine the team for the next two games to try to get rid of the manager, that's potentially 6 points more for a new manager to have to find. Whatever you think of the manager, back the team! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  11. Hoedt was the replacement. There won't be another one. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  12. Exactly. Every chance he's had fir us this season has gone over the bar or lobbed into the keeper's arms. Virtually impossible to prove, but it's a form of bringing the game into disrepute. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  13. I prefer to drink further away. I think the 8 bells near Putney Bridge is good for away fans. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  14. What did the psychiatrist say to the man wearing nothing but clingfilm underpants? I can see you're nuts. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  15. It doesn't look good. I'm still hoping for a turnaround, but we've left the new manager option too late. The damage was done early on when we had easier fixtures but didn't build a solid base. The alarm bells should have been ringing, but because we were apparently mid-table there was too much complacency. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  20. Surprised the mods allowed this off-topic post, but not a bad team, if Sims and Hesketh are fit enough. Might give Gabbiadini a game though, and Pied - need match time and a different supply chain for Gabbiadini might help. And although it's a bit old-school and radical, I'm going to cheer Saints on. I'd rather keep him ahead of Matt Targett. More versatile. Although, if it's only a loan, it frees up a squad place and gives him experience for next season when Bertrand has gone. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  22. Exactly. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  23. And if their first goal is disallowed, we probably make a more defensive substitution. Could have changed the course of the game. All what-ifs, but massive implications for us. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  24. The damage has been done and now we have to overachieve to stay up. We lost points again and again early in the season: Swansea - 2 Watford - at least 1 Man U (h) - 1. Yes, we should have got a point Stoke at least 1. Very poor team. Newcastle 2 Burnley 3 Add to that late dropped points v Arsenal and Man C and we're down 13 points. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
  25. Totally agree with all that. What beggars belief is that pretty well everyone who's posted on any forum could see what subs were needed, so why couldn't the one man who matters see it? Why no Lemina at all? Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
