Not. Just a résumé of the whole saga with possible outcomes. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

He's certainly not for sale at that price. And why invite offers? We don't want to sell, don't need to sell. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

But I just have the feeling it's going to be total silence. Which is good about Van Dijk, slightly disappointing otherwise, but not unexpected. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Plus one. I have never rated him and, if he hadn't scored the winner at OT, I don't think he'd have half as many backing him. The way we play, we either need him to show intelligent movement or strength to hold up the play and bring others into the game. He's got neither. I would rather have kept Gallagher. Thanks for checking. I didn't have time. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I get the impression the club have been prepared to re-integrate him for some time, but first he has to accept that he's going nowhere and second he has to be convincing about his commitment and effort. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Maybe this? No idea how valid. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

You and I may have no idea, but that doesn't mean Saints don't either. Virtually no-one knew Mané was on the radar until he signed. And I think there are alternatives according to whether VVD stays or goes. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I would suggest minimal credibility. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I've no way of knowing for sure, but I've read more than once that Saints will not do release clauses. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I guess he may have been helped with the quotes. In my working days I wrote many a quote from other people. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Quite possibly, but I doubt it would have been made against his wishes. I suspect he has done a deal to leave next year if there's interest, as long as he puts in a professional stint for a season. Like Virgil should now do. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

“I have a contract with Southampton and I am working every day like I always do. I am professional,” That sounds like a direct comparison with someone who doesn't give a toss about his contract and has acted totally unprofessionally. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

If he's still with us Friday I wouldn't want to be his cat. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

I agree with the argument that its a pointless discussion as he wouldn't come. But I've explained why I wouldn't want him. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Why's it embarrassing when someone can see beyond the player's own hype? He clearly thinks he's a £50m player worth over £100k a week. I don't. I think he's typical of the modern player who wants cash and medals for himself rather than contribute to team success. You can put VVD in that group too. He's injury-prone, would demand wages that would smash our structure and cause unrest, cost us more than he's worth, have little prospect of increased sell-on value and if he did come (which he won't) he'd want to be off to a big club the moment he has a few good games. No thank you. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

No chance. Not sure I'd want him anyway - overrated. Sounds like we've got two targets in mind. One, a budget option and prospect to develop if we don't sell Van Dijk and another more established (but probably not well-known and off the radar) if he goes. Not sure we need another of the former option. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Ah yes, of course. Everyone else is deluded with quirks of character. It couldn't possibly be you that has the problem. And I've never said Davis is exceptional. He's a good player and an important member of the team. It's you who seems determined to portray him as poor - he simply isn't. If you're only interested in teams full of superstars, perhaps you should go and do your glory hunting elsewhere. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Ridiculous. It was a good ball, called for by Wood, but ultimately put into an area. It could, and probably should have been dealt with, but to say Steve Davis has never played a ball like that just proves that you'll write anything to pursue your vendetta, no matter how utterly silly it is.
