What really infuriates me is that, in the incident today there was the faintest accidental contact, but the reasoning is apparently any contact and especially if the player goes down, and it's a legitimate penalty. But at a corner, there can be 50 times the physical contact, shirt pulling and holding, and it's ignored. It's simply not a credible position for refs to be taking. I partly blame the media for perpetuating the idea that you just have to accept what goes on at corners, or with defenders climbing on forwards, yet analysing tackles for the faintest of possible contact. I said much the same before the Chelsea game and a couple of incidents in that game completely dented our confidence. But similar worries were voiced when we were facing a toughest run including Man U and Arsenal away, and we then we set off on a good run. So who knows. We'll miss Jose for a couple of games, but Wanyama must nearly be back. Long should be recovered by next week and JRod is getting there. Get Targett back too. I'm in this camp too. How can people forget that as recently as 5 seasons ago we were struggling in League 1? And even in the past Premier days, season after season I would have been deliriously happy to be safe from relegation with nine games to go. Too much FM fantasy, I suspect.
