  1. I refer to my earlier answer. A Man U left back on crutches is still better than any other option. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  2. It's simple. Vardy plays for Leicester so not in contention. Kane at Spurs, reasonable chance. Rashford Man U. Must be an obvious choice. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  3. Very likely team, unless Tadic or Mane gives way to JWP Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  4. Too many vested interests in them (and Manure) getting CL Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  5. Got to admit Lallana playing well tonight. Incredibly soft goal though. Hart must be mortified. Beaten from 25 yards by a slowly trickling shot. Mind you, about as hard as Lallana ever hits a shot. Maybe Hart went to sleep waiting for it. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  6. I've had 24 hours to think about this one now. It was a painful experience for a 500 mile round trip. First, take nothing away from Bournemouth. They were faster to the ball, hungrier, fitter. They pressed our midfield and forced us into long balls that didn't work. But the selection was wrong. Targett/Bertrand works! Why mess about with it? Yoshida wasn't bad, but when he plays in a back three, Bertrand needs to get forward which he does less well than Targett, and leaves Yoshida exposed. And why on earth didn't Davis start? I would also have kept Austin on the bench. He wasn't too effective on Saturday and I'm not sure he was fit enough. He certainly isn't now. Pelle wasn't bad when he came on, but wherever Mane's head is, it's not Southampton. Worrying, with Austin now out and Long doubtful. Yes we were outplayed, but Mike Dean played a big part it that. Their aggressive pressing in midfield was rarely penalised despite tackles from behind. Perhaps we don't fall down enough. In contrast, we were routinely penalised for the slightest touch, for example the free kick leading to the second goal (which I accept was defended very poorly). Having seen the replay of the Fonte incident before the first goal, yes, he should have put it in Row Z, but after several viewings I think it's marginal whether it was a foul. Could even have been the other way. But Fonte wasn't the one who fell over. In true Adkins style, a firm blue line is needed. Unless we come out on Saturday with much more energy, resolve and creativity we'll have problems. Sunderland won't be a pushover. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  7. I assume we're in green? Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  8. This is the point. His flicks didn't come off, but he seemed incapable of bringing the ball down and controlling it. Time and again it ran yards away from him and we lost possession. Long is far better even as a target man, never mind his pace. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  9. If we stick with three at the back, JWP for Clasie and Mané (I hope) or Pelle (I fear) for Long. Could go to a back four with Targett out and Tadic in Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  10. Agreed. One appalling decision and another very doubtful one cost us three points and gifted them yo Chelsea. I don't agree with the "they were better than us and it was coming anyway" brigade. Chelsea were frustrated and this gave them the break they needed and broke our concentration. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  11. Feck. Arse. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  12. Looks like we'll lose ground on Manure too now. Shame they've found a striker, but can only hope Rashford will be dropped once Rooney's fit. Or could it be that Shrek isn't even the best striker for his club? Clearly still England's best option. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

  14. But they can communicate. Did the assistant say the free kick was to Saints and get overruled? Guess we'll never know. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  15. Big team. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  16. Agreed. Exactly what I thought at the time. I get a feeling that they realised the mistake but didn't want to deal with a Chelsea reaction if they'd pulled it back. And the media would have been on Chelsea's side too. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  17. In that case it's the assistant's fault. He should have continued to flag and draw the ref's attention to his mistake. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  18. Thank you for the Chelsea view. They have good players, but we were containing them. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  19. We would probably have held on without Pelle. He was Chelsea man of the match. Given the match situation, why wasn't it JWP? Or Mane. Pelle cost us the game. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
  20. Going to be a big game setting the tone for the week. A win today should mean 7-9 points from.the three games and we'll probably be at least 5th, maybe top 4 or close. Draw would be ok to keep the momentum going, but a loss and we could quickly slip back. Just setting out now. Going to enjoy it. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

  25. The fact that they can't recognise and use his ability shows how awful the club and manager are. They are in one hell of a mess. Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
