I think it's the McLaren case that skews the parity, tbh. That was way over the top, but then the team, from the top down, lied time and time again during that case.

There was no reason for Alonso to be made aware of the plot. In fact, logic dictates that he'd have been kept in the dark as the reasons behind the incident are quite well documented now; Renault undecided about continuing to back the team, ING about to pull out because the profile was dropping without any wins and Alonso contemplating a move to another team due to bad results. To retain his services there would have been little point in telling him anything. That's just my opinion though.

That ban for Flavio's going to have some massive implications. Several drivers now need a new manager, GP2 and GP3 have lost a major benefactor, QPR will lose an owner, so that Superleague formula racing series will lose a team, in QPR.

Having read the very same thread, I'd say people are more concerned with protecting the safety of those who haven't committed the crime, rather than that of those who have.

What we need is some sort of cryogenic storage system for convicts. Pop them on ice until their natural age would be 80 or so, then finish them off if their conviction has not been overturned by then. We could even power their 'cells' using solar power or something so the costs are minimal. If new evidence overturns their conviction simply defrost and put back in society. So easy.

Might be covered on his home license as a laptop is a portable device. After all, you don't need a separate license for one of those handheld tvs.

Fair enough; I actually agree that "Freedom of Speech" is for everyone but I accept that there are limits that were probably crossed that day. That said, Abu Hamza was deported for his verbalising under the FoS banner, so it's not fair to say that it's always tolerated.
