  1. Hopefully we should be nicely placed for the playoffs. The top three are miles ahead so that should go down to the wire, if it does it is going to be tough for whoever misses out to lift themselves for the semi. Best case scenario is Ipswich just miss out after Leeds beat Saints reserves in the final game then end up having to play Norwich in the semi. It might be an advantage to us to have time to prepare mentally and physically as well as tactically. Or we could just fuck it up.
  2. This. Obviously a lot depends on how we finish the season but if we had the same points at this stage last season we would be comfortably in second place - 6 points clear of third with two games in hand. I guess much will spend of what happens to the squad, I wouldn't fancy playing our style on a budget.

    Israel

I don't like people's rights being denied anywhere but the Palestinian thing particularly grates with me because of the UK's history with the creation of Israel and our government's support for the country. My grandad and great uncle both served in the region during and after WW2. When Israel commit an atrocity many in the muslim world see it as us (the west) as responsible. We like to see ourselves as people who stand up fro human rights and there is an obvious hypocrisy there.
  4. this, Ipswich were shit for most of the game.
  5. This bloke can’t save for shit.
  6. Why the fuck do you put Smallbone in if you need to get a winner?
  7. Or after the game on Friday they assessed his fitness and decided he couldn’t play another 90 straight away?
  8. Obviously to most, some need to have a little cry about something tho.
  9. Apart from the clever corner Norwich have done fuck all.
  10. Even if the defender missed it he still would have been onside if the other players were not classed as interfering- that’s always been a grey area.
  11. It’s just a figure of speech fella.
  12. Hopefully they will choke when we get to the real pressure games towards the end, they certainly looked like a bag of nerves toward the end of today’s game.
  13. He is just shit. One of the main reasons we went down, and the main reason we are not in the top two. I would be amazed if any Premier side were after him.
  14. At least we get shot of Adams next season.

    Russia

I guess they are probably expecting the F-16s soon so their air defence guys are getting a bit twitchy
  16. Brooks looked their most dangerous player when he was on. Odd.
  17. Couldn’t think of anything worse than playing them cunts in a play-off final.
  18. The left are bound to be more concerned about right wing broadcasters breaking impartiality rules, that’s just obvious.
  19. Think you need to learn to read because I have never said that. I know she didn’t cause the global rise in rates, that’s why I compared her to Brown who also didn’t cause the global crash yet still got hammered at the ballot box. Maybe I should have got my crayons out.
  20. Gordon Brown didn’t cause the financial crash but it didn’t work out too well for him. Fact is many people vote for selfish reasons and if they feel like they are worse off they are less likely to vote for the incumbent. The Conservatives try and win votes by painting themselves as the experts on the economy yet come ballot time everyone will remember this:
  21. Never said it was the primary reason, it’s just a factor that will make a difference. Great point as usual tho
  22. Because, even ignoring the rise in house prices and cost of living, it’s not as easy to get a mortgage now as it was in the 90s when I got on the ladder. Buying a house for me was actually easier than renting. To rent you usually needed to pay a months rent deposit plus a months rent up front to even get a place. I bought a house when I had next to nothing in the bank, that’s just impossible today.
  23. It would be harder for someone in that situation today.
  24. Maybe, but they would probably have to save for a deposit. When I brought my first house I had not long left uni and barely had a penny to my name. I got a 101% mortgage and brought a 3 bed in that range. As I said, we had it piss easy in comparison.
  25. I don’t think that’s fair. It’s incredibly hard for young people nowadays to get on the ladder compared to when I brought my first house, even for those with half decent jobs who are careful with their money. Renting is just throwing money down the drain so it’s only natural that many will be maxed out already and hit hard by the rate rise. Comparatively me and my parents generation have had it piss easy, many sat on massive equity with decent pensions just through riding the house bubble.
