  1. To be fair he took Bournemouth from -10 at the bottom of League 2 to the Prem in six seasons. I don’t think we should sack Ralph but if it happens Howe should definitely be considered. Bournemouth were always going to go down at some point regardless of who their manager was.
  2. But a few idiots booing because of concerns about a some Marxist takeover is not ‘racial tensions’. It’s people on no particular race booing people of many different races over something political - it’s not setting one particular race against another. The fact that players and fans who obvious are not Marxists get behind the message just makes it stronger IMO. It shows that despite the possible negative connotations and booing they are still determined to get the anti-racism message across. They are not just hiding away with some pathetic once a season logo on a T-Shirt.
  3. The majority of fans have applauded it, as I said before, previous campaigns have been pretty much invisible so barely get noticed. You are bound to get some idiot who boo.
  4. No, because all the 'Kick it out" stuff went largely unnoticed making it irrelevant - which is one of the reasons for the taking of the knee. A few people booing at football is nothing to do with racial tensions, it's just a bunch of Gammons getting all upset over 'wokeness'. No one is going to turn into a racist just because a few footballers make a harmless gesture. Anyone even slightly bothered by it must already have issues.
  5. We all know there is a link, but that survey was about the protests and riots after a black man was murdered by the police - of course tensions were raised. Where was the survey saying footballers taking the knee raised tensions? - I would genuinely want to read it.
  6. That article doesn't once mention football or taking the knee - which survey says footballers taking the knee raises racial tensions?
  7. or telling the truth? https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/oct/14/boris-johnson-promised-to-tear-up-ni-protocol-says-dup-mp-ian-paisley
  8. He says, discussing the subject on a thread that would exist if football players didn’t take the knee.
  9. It highlights the issue and instigates conversations - how can that be a bad thing?
  10. Making a positive impact.
  11. Definitely.
  12. Possibly, it's impossible to gauge.
  13. Exactly. That's what I was saying to the fuck-wit from Dorchester.
  14. So a fight breaks out with police after they try to arrest a racist and it's taking the knee that's the problem. Brilliant!
  15. It takes courage to vote? Where do you live, Baghdad
  16. So it's not Brexit's fault, is business fault for wanting profits. Brilliant!
  17. I guess this is where Deluded Missile has another mental breakdown and admits he doesn't give a fuck about the environment because he drives a big car and his offspring won't be effected anyway.
  18. This is another nail in our coffin, without an owner with cash it's just a matter of time before we end up in the Championship. Just shows that the Premier League has no morals whatsoever, they literally have let a murderer buy a football club. I don't want us to go down but when we do part of me will be glad to get out of it, it's turning into a farce no with the difference in resources between the clubs, City have shown that FFP is just a joke.
  19. Yeah, they look great, but too bastard cold to be of any use 9/10ths of the year. That’s why there are no expensive hotels or bikini clad beauties in the pics, just a few old tossers with frost-bitten faces walking their dogs.
  20. To be fair, I expect most clubs in the leagues below would have swapped places for 10 years in the Prem, a cup final, a couple of semi-finals and two seasons in Europe.
  21. You have missed the point as usual. I have never had a problem with people criticising any police commissioner, I have criticised the MET on here a few times. I'm just laughing at the sad obsession you have with Dick. Why don't you just admit it, you don't have a sudden enthusiastic interest in policing, or a clue of how well she is doing her job, you just saw a pic of some police taking the knee in London and your little gammon brain exploded with rage and you want to get the lesbian sacked.
  22. Arguably?!
  23. I haven't flip flopped at all. I don't have a problem with her or the MET being criticised, I have said on here before I thought their handling of the Sarah Everard vigils was poor. Wether she is under-performing or not doesn't explain the weird obsession of you Gammons on here with the performance of a Police Commissioner in an area you don't even live. I can't remember many other threads about police commissioners on here from you law and order enthusiasts.
  24. I don't have an issue with anyone wanting her sacked if they genuinely think she's doing a bad job, especial an MP in London. Everyone has an opinion. We can all read between the lines of certain posters on here though.
  25. Maybe the Met is a shit storm because of the cuts made by the Tories and not decisions made by Dick? I couldn't give a monkeys if she is sacked for doing a genuinely bad job but she shouldn't be forced out by some gammon-led media witch hunt. There needs to be an enquiry into the Sarah Everard murder and anyone found culpable should be help to account - including Dick.
