June Tabor and Oysterband on Later.... with Jools Holland tonight.

Reading the comments, it would seem like yet another "Fantasy Island" feature.

I am very disappointed. When I saw the thread title, I thought that it was going to be a discussion about the origins of the American Civil War!

Saints v Anderlecht Eoropean Cup winners cup 1976

We managed to keep away from the problems in the ground (really don`t know how!!) but it was the coach trip back to the airport (about 15Km I think) that was the problem. The coaches were under continual attack from yobs on little motorbikes who were throwing bricks, drain gratings and just about anything else that they could lay their hands on at the coaches. I was on the back seat of the last coach and by the time we got to the airport, we had about 2 windows intact. As you say, the airport lounge resembled a war-zone. -
This is very sad shocking news indeed. England hasn`t produced many top quality riders recently but Lee has been one of our best for a while and genuinely seemed like a nice bloke. This will sadden Speedway fans everywhere. http://asia.eurosport.com/motorsports/british-speedway-dies_sto3270215/story.shtml

Went to both legs of this. The Anderlecht away was really enjoyable. The Marseille away was the most scared that I have ever been at a match before or since!! Get shivers down my spine thinking about it even now!! -

Was really into Cream when I was younger with Disraeli Gears being the epitome of Prog-Rock (overlong drum solo`s, tracks lasting for hours etc) and I loved it! Also Blodwyn Pig, Mick Abrahams band after he left Jethro Tull. Gentle Giant (mentioned earlier) evolved out of the Pompey band Simon Dupree and the Big Sound (Kites). A lot of the prog-rock groups evolved from the blues/R&B boom of the mid to late 60`s and of course the Punk movement of the mid 70`s was a direct "protest" against the bloated thing that prog-rock had become.

Just watched "Stolen Lives" on Sky. Didn't know much about it but turned out to be a damn fine film. A policeman whose young son is missing is assigned to a 50 year old case eerily similar. Well worth a watch. Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2

After all these years it still haunts me. A time when doing the simple thing would have made all the difference. -

Went to both legs. Had a great time at the away leg. Fans swapping scarves etc. Remember seeing quite a few of our fans wearing their purple and white scarves at The Dell the following season. Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2 -
Surprised no-one has mentioned having chilli with grated cheese in a jacket potato served with Tangy Cheese Doritos. The best way IMHO. Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2

Really like Slipstream. BR rarely fails to deliver. Also enjoying this:- http://thewhitebuffalo.com/?page_id=12

I currently have the HTC Desire S and I absolutely love it. Will definitely go with HTC again when upgrading.

I seem to remember that they were taking the **** regarding our winning the JPT - it being just a paint pot. I assume that they will not be taking part in next years competition as they are too big a club.

It is a heart-warming story and testament to what NA is trying to do with the players that he brings in. The attitude is as important as the ability. Long may it continue. It is "The Southampton Way!". I really hope that the lad gets better. I know how I would feel if it was one of my grandchildren.

Radio now reporting RH`s England appointment and that Appleton is likely to succeed him at WBA

Is Saint Lard still around?? Be interesting to hear his views now.

I watched it change from 19:59 to 20:00 and they did it pretty quickly. Less than a minute obviously! Sent from my HTC Desire S using Tapatalk 2
