Isn`t the £3 fee per transaction, not per ticket?? Buy tickets for 3 games - £1 per ticket. -
The words "Mary Rose" come to mind!

Are you going to rant and rave about every ticket that you buy for other events or is it just Saints that will be feeling your wrath?? -

What constitutes a "premium service"? As long as I have my tickets before the event, what more do you want. Most agencies don`t send out tickets for concerts until a couple of weeks before the event. I booked ticket for the British Speedway Grand Prix at the Millenium Stadium last year and they arrived couple of weeks ago. As the event is on July 10th, I am happy with the service. -

Why is a ticket for a football match any different to theatre/concert/cinema tickets. On virtually all of these you have to pay a booking AND sometimes an administration/handling charge as well. Recently I booked two tickets for the local cinema online and had to pay a booking fee. This infuriates me. It is a rip-off but it is the ways thing are across the board. Why should football ticket be any different?? -

I agree with much of what you say, and I also agree that the way that the club has handled things is far from satisfactory and is actually a bit strange, however, it annoys me that because of the clubs actions (inactions?) some people feel that they don`t have to put themselves out a little to get what they want and would prefer to say that everything is the clubs fault.
-
It depends what your preferences are!! The point that I was making is that it shouldn`t come as a surprise that the new season is coming so if neccessary make a little bit of an effort to find out the details. How do you find out when the first fixture is if you don`t read the Echo, or have a PC etc? If you are THAT interested in something you find out about it. Trouble is that people want someone to wipe there asses for them and have someone else to blame.

Season ends May. New season starts August. Must buy ST. No renewal form. No PC. Don`t read Echo. I know! I`ll ring the club and ask for details of renewal! Problem solved!

Yes, but will travel in every day. It`s good to have some half-decent festivals in our area at last. -

Yes I was there! Really enjoyed Chumbawamba but also Stornaway and even the Proclaimers. Also enjoyed Oysterband - as Holy Bandits - playing the complete album of the same name. It really is a good festival. We go every year. Towersey next!! -

As I understand it, and to a degree I am trying to play Devils Advocate here, the club has said that the Fans Charter applied to season 2009/10 and not to the forthcoming one. That may be flim-flam, but as the charter is not, presumably, a legally binding document, the club can do what it wants with it. I am not saying that what the club has done is morally right or that they couldn`t have handled things better, but despite the fact that I dislike price increases for anything as much as the next man, I am REALLY looking forward to next season, even if it is going to cost me a bit extra. I expect that most peoples thoughts on the situation are somewhere midway between you, Dune and Cortese. -

So what is your grouse? Is it that the club seems to be maximising profit, or the way that they have gone about it? Do you object to paying the extras or is it about Cortese`s style? -

I did say "a few quid", but following your logic let`s make it 10 grand or 110 grand. If the club thought that could realistically get people to pay silly money then that is what they would charge. Supply and demand. -

But surely, with regard to the JPT, the club was only doing what anyone else would do and that is to trade on a success and make some more money? Money that could be spent on better players to ensure more success. You could argue that selling Cup Final scarves, hats, flags etc is ripping people off and milking the occaission. I don`t quite see the diference. Like it or not we are "customers" as well as supporters. Football (even Saints) is a multi-million pound business and any business has customers by definition. I would agree that they have not handled the whole ST/installment thing particularly well, but I want a successful club and one that flourishes. We want to see better players see us climb back to the PL, but I don`t want us to end up like the shower down the road. If by finding a few extra quid I can go and watch a winning team instead of a struggling one, my choice is to pay it. -
