  1. Really? So it`s not about watching football then?
  2. Very well put Steve.
  3. Some "fans" still won`t "set foot in SMS while Lowe is there".
  4. They just might be.
  5. So the falling ST sales are down to Lowes return and nothing to do with the teams dire performances over the last couple of seasons when, incidently, Lowe was not there ?:confused:If you, or anyone else thinks that the majority of people who go to SMS actually give a rats ass who is running the club you are deluded. Most fans are influenced by what they see on the pitch and not what they read on an internet forum. Considering that Lowe (who I am NOT a fan of) is supposed to be the Devil incarnate the gates didn`t exactly boom after he left did they. What happened to all those who were supposed to flock into SMS after "We Got Our Club Back"?
  6. Just as they ALWAYS have been in the 50 years that I have been supporting the club.
  7. How many "fans" boycott games because they don`t like the right back?
  8. Saw this one a few months ago and you`re right, it`s an excellent film.
  9. Good, considered first post!
  10. This may be of interest to some. http://www.speedwayshow.co.uk/ Date now Sat 21st February NOT the January dates.
  11. Is it me or does he sound like Steve McClaren?
  12. Yes. They`re called "Management Skills". It`s a way of getting the people who work for you to want give of their best.
  13. Well said.
  14. More so than "I will never go to SMS while Lowe is there"?
  15. Or a handbag.
  16. I think this sums it up well.
  17. Well said.
  18. Strangely I thought he had one of his better games today - apart from his "air-shot" after we hit the woodwork twice!
  19. I agree to an extent but I think that he was playing further forward because Wotton was playing in Schneiderlins usal position. It did make him less effective.
  20. I have posted this before - and let me say that I am not a big supporter of RL - but the worst time in all my years supporting Saints was during the Branfoot "Reign of Terror". He very nearly drove me out but I thought "sod it" - he is not going to stop me going, I will be here long after he has gone. It was an act of defiance. Its the same with Lowe. He will not stop me supporting the team that I have loved for over 50 years. I hope to be here when he is gone. Whilst a lot of critisism can be levelled at him for what went on in the past, you have to say that he is doing what needs to be done to save our club (yes and with it his own shares etc) and give us a glimmer of hope. I know that we will get the usual "it`s all his fault in the first place" posts but it is history. We are were we are NOW. Things need to be done NOW for the future. We have to get on with it and hopefully enjoy the ride.
  21. He certainly showed some bottle!
  22. It`s not short. It is just right. Anyway height is like age. You are as tall as you feel.
  23. I thought Jack Cork had a tremendous home debut tonight. He looked calm and collected and made some very important tackles. If Pekhart is up to the same standard then could be in for some exciting times!
  24. The "I won`t go whilst Rupert Lowe is there" brigade. After tonights game - more fool them I say.
  25. I`m sure that some of you will already be on this but its quite a good forum. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/Main.htm
