Sorry Pancake. Started another thread for this. Glad to see that you haven`t gone for stereo-type though!!:roll:

O.K. I`ll start. Les Mis - Everything about it brilliant. Music, staging, atmosphere. Never ever get fed up with it. Ragtime - Much under-rated. Deserves to be performed more often. Showboat -Nearly 90 years old. Absolute quality. Miss Saigon - Very moving. Billy Elliott - Not twee, Staggering performance from young kids. Lord of the Rings - Saw this just before it closed. Unbelievable staging. The modern musical is a much under-rated and much maligned medium, mostly by those who haven`t seen them.

3 Celeb's you fancy the most and why?

Mylene Klass (See "I`m a Celebrity) Kara Tointon (Because) Naoko Mori (Sultry) -
TBH the phrase "No Plan B" is haunting me ATM. Plan A is brilliant when it works.

Were you saying this 24 hours ago?

I think that this came from the Echo website. Some **** kept posting comments to every Saints related story which consisted of "Lowe out and take those Dutch Donkeys with you". WUM, Skate, mentalist or combination of the 3 I think.

Mickey Evans our most inspired signing?
miserableoldgit replied to SaintDonkey's topic in The Saints
As a bit of business I suppose Dean Richards has to figure somewhere. Signed on a free, turned some magnificent performances and sold for £10M(?) -
I think Jim Magilton scored 2 against them in an FA Cup game at the Dell. He nearly had a hat trick when he should have passed the ball to someone in a better position but went for glory and failed!

If we coriander way we`re going we will do well this season(ing).

Sorry. I didn`t see it but it`s not a bad article (fairly positive national press coverage at last) so may be worth, as you say, a thread of it`s own.

Barto wanted this so I have done it for him! What are peoples favourite musicals and why?

For me it`s HR. I don`t like Lowe but why HR gets my vote is that he obviously did not want to be here after relegation but agreed to stay and spent his time moaning about everything! I also didn`t like the way he left. All very suspicious!

My personal vote would go to MLT partly for the number of times he finished as our top scorer but also for the sheer pleasure and enjoyment he gave to all Saints fans with his genius. Don`t forget KK and Steve Moran. For a couple of seasons Steve was on fire.

You should know by now that Scooby doesn`t answer awkward questions. He just sticks his empty head above the parapet, lobs his stupidity-grenade and ducks back down for cover.:smt048(Just used the smiley cos I like it.)

It is part of our politically correct society. It is now "The Police Service" and not "Police Force" as the word force apparently gives the wrong impression. You have been serviced by the Police.

Don`t get carried away with polls on this forum. There are less than 7000 members on here and a high proportion of those just lurk and do not post and those that do are probably the most vociferous. The vast majority of people who actually go to SMS (lets say 15-20000) really couldn`t give a stuff who the chairman is. They are swayed by what they see on the pitch (good or bad) and that only. It`s generally the hardcore fan that has an strong opinion that they would put forward on here.

It would surely depend on whether we were still at war or whether relations between us and Germany were on a more stable footing. Hirohito stayed Emporer of Japan long after WW2. Didn`t stop relations between us and Japan coming on in leaps and bounds after 1945. The point that I was trying to make (probably in a daft way) is that the past is the past. Learn lessons - yes, but we are where we are and it`s about going forward - not continuosly looking back.

I am refusing to go on a visit to Germany because of what Hitlers Luftwaffe did to Southampton. I will never forgive and forget. Oh, and trips to France are out because Napolean was a bastard!
