Will season ticket prices be released now and will you renew?
miserableoldgit replied to Paul Chuckle's topic in The Saints
I understand your point (I renewed some weeks ago) but bearing in mind the long unchanging horror show that we have had to endure for the last season or two, I am not surprised if a number of people will be wary until they see what sort of squad we have. -

Trouble is everything appears stagnant or slow moving on the tansfer front. None of us have a clue what our team will look like next season, so until we do, I suspect ST sales may remain slow. -

It must be the mad Welshman!!๐

One of my favourites.....

Didn't Ings appear in a kit launch just before he left? Might be my memory.....or Villa came in with an offer too good to turn down....

That's what I assumed. I have emailed the school but have had no reply yet.

It does seem strange that the car parks that they have been using have all decided not rent out to the club at the same time....

Anyone wanting to renew their Parking Season tickets may need to see what I have come across on the website:- Seasonal Car Parking for 2023/24 is very limited, due to a number of changes within the local area in recent years. The only available public car park will be at Cemex. Those who currently park in Wilmoths and Cemex will have first priority on this area from June 1 to June 30. Following this, any spare spaces shall then be opened up to those who held parking at other car parks in the 2022/23 season. In the unlikely event any other spaces remain, these shall be opened on general sale from July 3rd If you held parking during the 2022/23 season, youโll hear from us directly, letting you know about availability and closures for the 2023/24 season. However, there are plenty of options locally, which include spaces within Ocean Village, West Quay and Bond Street, as well as a number of alternative options within a 15 minute walk of St. Maryโs Stadium.

If it was just about results I would stay at home and wait for them to come on the radio/TV. The football was, as someone else said, turgid and I've sat through every mangager from Ted Bates onward. At one point I remember taking my iPod so that I could listen to music during the games.

Having been watching Saints for many, many years, this was the only time that I didn't stay for the "Lap of Honour" at the last game of the season....could be bothered.
-
TBF, I feel very much the same. I fell out of love with the game many years ago. I have little or no real interest in watching England or European competitions. I have been watching Saints since the mid 1950's and as you say....it's in the DNA. I get more enjoyment watching Rugby (no overacting, abusing referees etc) and Speedway....when it is on TV, than modern football. Yes, Saints since Koeman left have been depressing, to say the least, but I am a great believer in these things going in cycles, and that we are overdue an upturn.....so keep your chin up FF!
-
Yes.....it does seem that something has happened to FF. I used to find his posts interesting, constructive and knowledgable, but over the last few years he does come across as a Miserable Old Git.

I wonder if Roy Kent is available? Need some discipline in the dressing room......

I hate this period. Just like the "Phoney War" in 1939.....just a bit before even my time!๐

Don't really care who wins but the pen was ridiculous.....never was one.....and City should have had one. Shocking....

Saints fans really are a "special" breed. Nothing that anybody does is good enough. SR have admitted that they made mistakes, explained what they thought that they saw in the "Mad Welshman", have started clearing out the "deadwood" at Board level and basically "promised" promotion next year....but that is not enough. I suppose a procession through the Bargate in sackcloth and ashes is what is required....

Are you Saint Lard??
