I think the large pub chains have a lot to answer for. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a cheap Wetherspoons pint at times as much as the next person, but all the time Wetherspoons and their chums are filling up our cities with pubs selling ridiculously cheap drinks, the local independent pub has no chance at all.
