An annual exhibition of memorabilia would keep costs down. Just set something up for a week every year to start with. Could just be a temporary thing in one of the suites, few paying visitors few the door should cover costs. I've no idea how much stuff the club has that is wort displaying though.
  2. no, i don't think so.
  3. oh dear wes ... you haven't be keeping with things have you ... :smt044
  4. aintforever's already posted one of those.
  5. we've just been seen in the same place at the same time so that blows that one out the water! Anyway, if you were eagle eyed, you'd see I never said anything against Lance Armstrong.
  6. No need Um ... I was sure you'd be eagerly waiting for my post on the other thread.

Was this the one sided one that Lawrie played no part in?
  8. I don't think there's anyone here saying they're not welcome as paying customers is there?
  9. 3-5 seasons as manager is an exaggeration. check his wiki page for confirmation.
  10. So Allardyce learnt it all from Lawrie Mac's biography then!?!?!? The cheeky swine!
  11. a broken link?
  12. I turned up on 11th Dec 2006 ... not very recent by most people's standards?!?!!? I just heard "I'm a better fan than you" in your post though. Are we onto that debate this early in the day? We're getting through the classics quickly today aren't we! Is your stand better than my stand?
  13. Is it an audio recording or a written report?
  14. If Pardew were Keegan in disguise, he's got a bloody good disguise ... none of that Just for Fun rubbish with the comedy specs.
  15. Just been cleared up on the other thread Um; the one where you started name calling.
  16. Well done Um, there's me telling 70s Mike that we're capable of discussing things like adults and you start opening your potty mouth. Is that how you spell dinlo anyway?
  17. Um and I are playing very nicely thank you, none of the name calling associated with big boys round here.
  18. Don't worry Um ... Wes has confirmed it for you. He heard Lawrie with his own ears.
  19. yes, managed from 73-85 I believe. And I'd be interested to hear from someone who remembers that era clearly how on earth we were able to put together such a strong team at that time? Whilst the Dell obviously held a lot more in those days, surely we didn't have attendances to rival the big, big clubs, so it couldn't have been down to a huge cash flow. Was it just a case of doing an Allardyce and signing old pros in an attempt to get one more good season out of them?
  20. Thank you for confirming that Lawrie did play a part in proceedings; that's all I was after. So that too confirms that I am justified in not wanting to hear from any of them ever again without being told I'm disrespecting any of them. As you said, the debate of who was most right or wrong is long gone and has been done to death so we shan't bother with that here.
  21. You are a legend. I was just going to try and compose of those myself but you got there quicker.
  22. You can answer my question about whether you feel the account of events given in the written report is valid, or if it completely contradicts your recollection of events.
  23. Weren't the current published prices only valid till 31st July or have I accidentally made that up?
  24. No problems then eh?
  25. Would have thought the two mentioned could do a job in the third division if deployed correctly.
