  1. Good point. There would have plenty of people who didn't want to stand and thought they'd have a nice time in the seats but had their enjoyment spoiled by the ignorance of others. It seems odd that the stewards didn't make more of an effort to keep people seated over there.
  2. That's why Pompey beat us to the Family Club Award then.
  3. What? He WAITED for Guly to come on before moaning about him? We just shout, "Get Guly off! He's rubbish!" when he's not even on the pitch. It's ironic.
  4. He sounds like one of those miserable sods who stands there in his hands with his pockets moaning about how "poor" the atmosphere is whilst everyone around him is singing and getting into it.
  5. I thought the whole confusion about whether Reading or not was quite funny tbh. We heard the chant of "We're top of the league" and everyone got on their phones but everybody's signal died. We did a quick rendition of "Where's your signal gone?", left it a few minutes and sang "What's the Reading score?", got a "Nil Nil" chant back and so we started a chant of 'We're 2nd in the league". We are much funnier than any of you guys, and our face paints make us look really cool.
  6. "Ridiculous! Call yourself a fan?" etc.
  7. TBF I'd rather listen to people at the games talking nonsense than seeing internet warriors talking nonsense about games they haven't been to.
  8. I know! I thought you would have read that and seen it before falling for it. You'll be more wary next time.
  9. I pick and choose my games. I've only done Coventry, Derby, Reading, Bristol City, Palace X 2, Pompey and Peterborough away this season, as well as all home cup and league games. I'm sorry that deciding I might give Saturday a miss means I don't meet your super fan status.
  10. You're so silly DellDays. I can't believe you didn't know that. It's what's known as a parody account.
  11. That's not actually Big Sam.
  12. They bring out an inflatable one.
  13. I'll be impressed if we sellout. It's bloody hours away and it's on TV. We had a serious think about doing it last night, but knowing we'd have to go up and back on the day and an the bingo bus at this late stage, it just isn't worth it. We'll have a better time in the pub where we can actually celebrate victory if we get it, rather than sit on a quiet coach home for six bloody hours!
  14. Sorry, but that is awful. Good motives and all that but it's a really cringeworthy cover. That 'Drunk' song is better.
  15. ah no. it's on another thread somewhere!
  16. It's not as if Brighton 'rolled over' for West Ham is it?
  17. yes, it's the one just posted!
  18. Depends what you mean big. I thought they just had a load of 40" tvs hanging on the walls.
  19. well spotted. this is a great view of our away terrace viewed from the home fans.
  20. this. he tries hard but his touch is poor.
  21. You disagreed with the fact that I thought he was good when he came on the other night; at least that's the discussion I thought we were having! In the context of the game and the fact that he was replacing Chaplow who was having a stinker, I said I thought De Ridder did alright. I don't see why he's getting stick for his 'distribution' anymore and think there's a lot of people reeling that line off because they heard it was a popular thing to say a while back and they now assume it must be right! If people want to talk about distribution then I think it's fair to say than an awful lot of the timer Saints are finding themselves hitting hopeful crosses into the box once all the defenders have got back and marked our attackers anyway. We then hear moans that our crosses aren't finding attackers but as I've tried to say in this instance that's impossible. I don't think it's a crossing issue. It's more to do with whether we're breaking quick enough and whether we have the opportunity to actually find unmarked players in the box. The other night, De Ridder was a much better player than Chaplow when he came on.
  22. As long as season ticket holders get priority and can buy extra tickets for their friends and family I don't mind.
  23. guess that's the downside of having a nice bank holiday game at home!
  24. Personally, I think there are question marks over both first choice fullbacks and whether they would cut it for us in the Prem; irrespective of whether or not Fox has already had a go with Burnley.
  25. Would make for a good Bank Holiday Monday day out if we're left with no option but playing in the playoffs
