Whilst I know 'atmosphere' never comes across well on video, those videos really do make it look like there was sod all atmosphere there. What an utterly gash stadium Elland Road looks to be. I can't stand all this soppy ******** about wanting them to survive. The reality of the matter is that if Pompey are liquidated then a new club will surely be set up so we'll still have Pompey as a rival, it's just that they'll be a crappy lower league outfit (which is arguably what they bloody should be anyway). If they get away with years of living beyond their means and carrying out dubious financial dealings, the whole thing is a bloody joke. I sincerely hope the current club is liquidated; what effect this would or wouldn't have on Saints is completely irrelevant.

Can't see why it's "very poor". I've just checked our home league attendances and, if you ignore the prestige games (local derbies or against big boys West Ham etc) and the ever popular Christmas games, all attendances are between 21k and 24K really. Sometimes I go mental after home matches and feel like having a beer; not an evening of several beers, a few chasers and a couple of ill advised lap dances, but just a single, solitary beer. Last season I could wander round to the Itchen concourse, get three beers for £6 (split with two equally tight mates), watch some of the late kick-off game on Sky, listen to a God-awful band with a slightly overweight, ugly blond girl trying to sing and then watch a slightly awkward interview with the man of the match. This season I have to set foot in the 'Alfred' *shudder*. I miss the concourse being open. Do you?
