I can't stand all this soppy ******** about wanting them to survive. The reality of the matter is that if Pompey are liquidated then a new club will surely be set up so we'll still have Pompey as a rival, it's just that they'll be a crappy lower league outfit (which is arguably what they bloody should be anyway). If they get away with years of living beyond their means and carrying out dubious financial dealings, the whole thing is a bloody joke. I sincerely hope the current club is liquidated; what effect this would or wouldn't have on Saints is completely irrelevant.

What our owners get up to when not watching Super Saints

glad someone said it. -
The OP does know you can't contract HIV by going to the cinema with someone right? *confused*

Thanks for the offer. When can I come and collect it?

Essruu hits it on the head. Giffgaff gives you 250mins, ultd texts and web for £10 a month. HTC phones are cheap flimsy things.

Rent boy? All those years in the navy will come in handy.

No, he can't be good because people had already written him off on here after seeing him come on as a sub in his first appearance.

All 'patriotic' English songs are complete embarrassing toss.

If we weren't 2nd in the league and facing the prospect of back-to-back promotions, I might be able to motivate myself into giving a ****.

Penalty Charge Notice (advice please)
sotonjoe replied to saintscottofthenortham's topic in Motoring Forum
But the Highway Code isn't in itself law, even though it contains many points of law. I thought there was something about the word "must" being used in the Highway Code to indicate points of law, i.e. "Motorists must not...". In that quote of Rule 243, it could just be an instruction but not necessarily a point of law. -
Penalty Charge Notice (advice please)

I remember seeing a news item on the BBC which claimed that it wasn't against the law to park in front of a dropped kerb at all (irrespective of whether the driveway or entrance is in use); it's merely an issue of politeness. -
Can't see why it's "very poor". I've just checked our home league attendances and, if you ignore the prestige games (local derbies or against big boys West Ham etc) and the ever popular Christmas games, all attendances are between 21k and 24K really. What are people realistically expecting us to achieve for a game against Derby on a Saturday in February?

Sometimes I go mental after home matches and feel like having a beer; not an evening of several beers, a few chasers and a couple of ill advised lap dances, but just a single, solitary beer. Last season I could wander round to the Itchen concourse, get three beers for £6 (split with two equally tight mates), watch some of the late kick-off game on Sky, listen to a God-awful band with a slightly overweight, ugly blond girl trying to sing and then watch a slightly awkward interview with the man of the match. This season I have to set foot in the 'Alfred' *shudder*. I miss the concourse being open. Do you?

On here if that post is anything to go by.

Well, I do have an estate agent mate who confirmed that Theo has registered with him as a prospective buyer in the area.

Asking somebody to name their favourite referee is like asking them which STD they'd most like to catch. VD in case you wondered.

Have they signed Tevez yet?

Willing to flog a vastly superior HTC Desire (boxed and unlocked) to anybody interested for just £25 extra. Feel free to pm. Not desperate to get rid but happy to sell to finance move to iPhone.

Specialized Rockhopper A1 FS from 1996. Frame 18". Currently with wheels unattached but in sound order apart from that. Make me an offer and come and collect as it's on the way to the tip. Cost £600 new.

21000 before any on the day walk-up is pretty good isn't it? The majority of our attendances seem to fall between 20k and 25k depending on a whole host of factors so with a thousand paying on the day there's nothing alarming about our forthcoming attendance.

The interesting thing about Cortese is that his approach to running the football club is similar to Lowe's in many ways. The club's financial circumstances are very different and you could argue that he's more willing to finance a competitive playing squad (to what extent Lowe may have been willing to do this had our finances been different we'll never know) but there are many similarities about the way in which the two approach the running of our football club.
