I am in Toronto at the moment and was when Spurs were here ( they beat TFC 3-2). The TFC stadium is on the waterfront area down from the CN tower and for a couple of days you couldn't go in a bar or restaurant down there without seeing Spurs staff and execs. Would imagine Ralph took in that game and the Newcastle game too and ended up talking to Spurs people out of courtesy as much as anything.

So why make the club asset poor (selling best - indeed most - players)? Surely that would result in a lower sale price? Or is that too simplistic?

Bump....Anybody know when new home shirt can be ordered online? Press release states it will be available to order online but nothing on the club online shop site as yet. Since release is this Saturday they seem to be cutting it a bit fine.

Hang on a minute - You say NC wasn't a risk taker in one post but then state that KL - his boss - thought his strategy of increased investment was too risky, which led to him walking. So which is it? Was NC a risk taker or not? If he was, then he was indeed a potential danger to the club.
