How many do you think will be sold if any?
InvictaSaint replied to Barry Sanchez's topic in The Saints
I think anywhere between 0 and 20 players will be sold, give or take. I am guessing that those with a "glass half empty / completely empty" perspective on life will tell us (on the basis of pure conjecture, or because they are just miserable) that all our best players will be sold, and that we will buy nobody of any use/value. Those whose glass is neither half full nor half empty (if that is possible!) will take a more reasoned approach, which may or may not prove to be correct. The glass half full brigade will expect us to keep Shaw, Lallana and Schneiderlin and will also expect positive signings. There you go = that should cover it all. Might as well close the thread now before it is derailed by the usual suspects. -
1 hour and 40 minutes and counting....really poor service. Isn't the internet supposed to be the antidote to queuing?! If I drove down to Southampton from home and queued at the ticket office I would probably get a ticket more quickly!
-
Same for me; been in queue for 50 minutes now....

They tend to have the opposite effect in my experience....

Sorry Monk, but who or what is SGP?
-
Maybe they'll get a cancellation and then give it to Jay. ;-)

One day, Alpine, you, I and everybody else on this board will die. What we do between now and then is worth worrying about; not what Saints do or don't do. You can't control it, so there's no use in fretting. Enjoy the ride wherever it takes us. Not meant sarcastically or patronisingly at all; just my four penneth worth.

Jesus Christ - bet Gazzaniga is glad he has so much support on here. He must love being a Saints player. Why don't we just get a message to the Saints fans who've schlepped up to Manchester to turn round and come home; no point staying to watch is there? Whatever happened to supporting the team??

Sunderland fielded ineligible player against us at SMS
InvictaSaint replied to Pancake's topic in The Saints
One of the articles mentioned a Sunderland club secretary resigning or leaving as a result of this error - Liz Coley. Am I imagining it or did she once work at Saints? -
Are we just accepting shaw will leave in summer?
InvictaSaint replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
Yes - one that has his own players and fans baffled. -
Goooooaaaallll Rickie!!

Away shirt doesn't have the pinstripes; home shirt does (blue on yellow). Away shirt looks very dull. Awfully boring if true.

You'll get nowhere with that rational, sensible non-sensationalist malarkey on here m'boy.

That's the thing, DD - it's another world these boys live in. Too much money and too much time; not sure I would have the time or head space to think about how to get my name on a personalised plate, even if I did have the money!! Too busy doing real-world things!

Anything close to how I felt leaving WHL after beating Spuds 3-1 a decade or so ago, and putting Hoddle out of a job, will do just fine....

We must be the same age, because that is precisely what I was thinking! Made me smile!

What hacks me off is the morons in the Chapel sarcastically applauding him when he kicked straight. What sort of 'supporter' does that ? There was a bloke near me who must've been at least 60 singing the 'Artur Boruc is having a party' song and then sticking two fingers up to Boruc. Total tool.
-
Name me a club that doesn't! Man Utd sold Ronaldo, Spurs sold Bale. What makes us so special that we are immune to it?? I guarantee you if either Shaw or Adam goes, it will be because they want to. One thing's for sure - we won't get shafted by anybody on the fee front.
-
Why is it an increasing number of people don't know how to use question marks? Is it the written equivalent of AQI?
-
Cole ahead of Shaw eh? Wow. How achingly experimental.
-
Well done. You must be both proud and happy. Go you.

Honestly, some of the over-reaction on here today. Glad some of you lot weren't in the trenches. No wonder Jamie Oliver hires Eastern Europeans rather than Brits. No backbone...

Paul Merson: "It's been all Southampton; they're in total control."
