I'm not so sure. We need a striker who is a right time right place sort of player. ALF is that player. Why do we need a big lump up front? Wide players that can get behind defences and killer balls are much better than hoofing it up to big strikers. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Lambert fan

Nigel Adkins was just on Football League Weekend on SKY 1 and when asked about the Saints job he asked to move onto the next question. He didn't do the whole "There are great club but I have a job at S****horpe". How does this tie up with other things people have heard? He sounds like he's up for it.
