  1. Think you need to get behind the words and really understand what he was saying. Have a listen to this one and it's not exactly as you are saying: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leicester_city/8004742.stm And I think the £10m relates to prior monies invested (i.e. inc the pruchase and funding last season etc etc etc) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/2299310/Milan-Mandaric-fears-a-10m-nightmare.html They have not spent big on transfer fees this season and the BBC interview refers to this quite clearly.
  2. So we might get to play there then!!!!

    Wotte OUT

If you agree Pearson was in charge for 13 games (pretty unfair to throw in Plymouth away) then the records so far are: Pearson = 1.23 points per game Poortvliet = 0.93 points per game Wotte = 1.13 points per game Extrapolating for 46 games that would be: Pearson = 1.23 points per game (57 points mid table) Poortvliet = 0.93 points per game (43 points definitely relegated) Wotte = 52 points (mid table to bottomish but not relegated)
  4. Being honest, I'm not really wedded to any of them so hard to choose anyone. Arguaby the most talented are: Surman (but failed to deliver this season) Saeijs (but won't be interested in Div 3) Saga (even less interested in Div 3) Lallana (just doesn't contrbute enough to build a team around) Skacel (even less intersted in Div 3 than others who aren't interested) Not massive fans of DMG, Gillet & others but IMHO most of them are two a penny who could do a job (but so could many others up and down the leagues). So perhaps I would come back to either Kelvin or Perry as being old heads who could help out (and dare I say it maybe even Wotton - not sure I really said that).
  5. Would we get to play at their new ground???
  6. I think that's one thing that we will have to face up to, namely that this is the third tier of football and the quality and standard of players is nowhere as high as we're used to. I really don't rate Gillet & DMG, but I bet they can do a good job for us IF we go down. Going back to the OP I wouldn't have a problem with Bart and just haven't seen Forecast, so hard to judge, but he can't be far off. But I would also settle for Kelvin accepting a wage cut and staying.
  7. What makes you say that fella??? I would have thought if we make it to the opening of the transfer window on July 1st then I would have thought Mr Fry would be well up for a firesale. Although you could argue it would decimate the team and perhaps impinge on it selling it as a Going Concern, I think it will be a needs must exercise, with the argument being there are others left at the Club to from a team and of course the new owners could always bring in players.
  8. I would think very, very low, but that's not to say they might not play with the same gusto. The other side of the coin might be playing with freedom, no fear and a some serious confidence of being Champions might mean they play some lovely flowing football with copious amount of goals!!!!
  9. So not over then as that has at least given us a chance. Fingers crossed that barnsley lose midweek (or at least draw). It will go to the wire
  10. And the "Youth Policy" did not require us to bump Pearson and bring in that top rated manager, Poortfckingvliet!!!!
  11. But your inference was that if we had sold Skacel then we might have kept John, whereas I would suggest Poortvliet didn't think John fitted in with his style of play, so had we managed to offload Skacel he would still have offloaded John anyway.
  12. Poortvliet didn't think John could play in the style he wanted to play. "Bristol City play 4-4-2, so the way they play will better suit Stern's style".
  13. So all the fanfares, the stories, the upbeat promises of Total Football, Style and Steel, Revolutionary Coaching Set Up etc etc etc were all just a load of rubbish then. And when they were proclaiming all this, what they really meant was "I don't know why we're prolonging the agony, it's all done and dusted anyway".:smt119:rolleyes: Do you really think Lowe and Wilde came back to preside over a funeral?? Do you not think that by making changes they believed they could turn things around?? We were basically stuffed when Pearson was given the boot and the hopeless Poortvliet was brought in. He was brought in to save us, but that decision cost us dearly.
  14. Doesn't give me any solace to know that there are others out there suffering the same fate (but then again there are just as many doing better than us as well though). And neither does other's incompetence justify, excuse or explain the incompetence we have had to pur up with. A total non argument.
  15. We'll go with your thread then LOL. I know many think it is over, but we still have a chance, but this could be the final straw!!!
  16. Norwich 1-0 up 16 mins
  17. reverse-takeover
  18. Rags - if they don't!!!
  19. Rabid fans;)
  20. Indeed it is difficult and I remember saying as such the minute we got relegated, not out of some greater knowledge or insight, just by simply looking at most established clubs who went down (sadly I was shouted down by some of the so called financial experts who called it mud raking LOL). But whilst football is a very tough theatre to operate in, you do yourself no favours by handicapping yourself with ridiculous managerial appointments (e.g. Wigley, Poortvliet et al). Trying to survive with one hand tied behind your back and blindfolded isn't really given it your best shot.
  21. Talk us through your posts that got deleted/edited by the Administrators :D You seem to have form:D
  22. Think????:D You've obviously forgotten your rude PM to a load of us;) Keep on trolling TOOT TOOT:smt119:rolleyes::smt119 Or as Phil suggested, let's burn the witch;)
  23. Not one of your best trolling attempts, last bit doesn't make sense;) Keep on trolling TOOT TOOT:D
  24. He had a mare against Charlton. Has he lost interest??? Does he realise he won't be around come the end of the season??? Has it all just become too much for him??? Shame as he looked a really good player (and think he is a decent player).
