  1. I think you'll find I would think exactly the same irrespective of who was Chairman. The one thing I have a strong opinion on is the need to accept responsibility. If you're happy to take the money and the plaudits when things are going well, then you should have the balls to accept responsibility when things go pear shaped. Mistakes of the magnitude of Wigley (along with how the appointment came about) and the cost of it to the Club were big enough to consider asking those involved to step down, and IMHO so is this decision. Lowe is intrinsically linked with this "Revolutionary Coaching Set Up" and so if Jan goes, then IMHO Lowe's position is untenable.
  2. I don't for one minute think Lowe would vote against himself , but with less than 6% that does mean that over 94% could. At the moment, it would not appear that that will happen, but that's not to say it couldn't (or wouldn't). The 6% this turkey holds may not vote for Xmas, but the other shareholdrs could easily outvote him. It may not be a solution, because there is no guarantee it would solve out problems, but the idea that there is no alternative to Lowe as CEO is ridiculous in the extreme. Just as every football club has a manger, then almost every club has a CEO. They are not a rare breed. How do you think other clubs and companies get it to work. Unlike our "Revolutionary Coaching Set Up", there's nothing revolutionary about appointing a CEO and getting him/her to run the business on a day to day basis.
  3. Exactly, but that hasn't stopped people connected to the new regime claiming that was indeed the case, then feeding certain individuals these little tales in hope that they will get out and in turn be seen as gospel!!!!! It would appear that rather than boast that Jan and the "Revolutionary Coaching Set Up" are the way forward and part of a long term vision, some are now trying to say we had no choice!!!!!!
  4. In Jan I see Wigley, and we all know how that season ended!!!!!!!! And if Jan goes, then IMHO Lowe must walk as well.
  5. Yours may be unintentional (whereas others are definitley intentional), but the little tales about Paul Allen, Pearson not willing to work under financial constraints etc are all attempts by those connected to the current regime to divert attention from our more pressing worries.
  6. And if we get relegated this season, then I presume it will be the fault of Lallana for that missed penalty or White for giving away a penalty against Blackpool. It will have nothing to do with Lowe employing a manager so out of his depth it's unbelievable????
  7. And it serves the new board well to start spreading little stories and tales denigrating the old regimes. Tales that are then peddled by some in a bid to divert people's attention away from the more pressing issues, and failings of today.
  8. What was left????? I think you'll find we added quite a bit to what was left!!!! Since Lowe came in we have brought in: A New Head Coach A New Assistant A Ne whatever Wotte does PLUS Twelve new players That's a lot of choices!!!!!
  9. I don't think we have many institutions with shares in the Club, at least none in excess of 3% (with the exception of one samll amount). Our shares stack up something like: Lowe has less than 6% His cabal have circa 20% (Askham, Richards, Withers etc) Wilde has circa 16% Crouch has circa 10% The Corbett's circa 6% That leaves circa 40% out there up for grabs. With 42%, Wilde and Lowe have a base and in the absence of the remaining 58% not pulling together, nothing will change. Wilde certainly has the power to bring about change, as do some in Lowe's cabal and if the remaining smaller shareholders could get organised, then they could certainly put a shot across the bows of those currently in power.

Was thinking exactly the same as I stomped home yesterday. The excuses for our poor performances must be reducing as every week passes. We're shi77t in front of 14,000 and we're shyiyt in front of double that. But lo and behold within hours of that embarrassing display, there were people on here having another pop at the fans, this time for giving the underperforming players a bit of a shot across their bows. Stop blaming the supporters!!!!
  11. You do not need a buy out to find and install a replacement CEO and/or Chairman. There may not be a will to replace Lowe in either of those positions, but that is not the same as saying there are no alternativies out there. Just as managers can be replaced, so can football executives.
  12. Have no problem with the general concept of living within our means, but as you also point out, the execution of that general principle has been poor. As for what this is down to, well my main belief is that it is mainly down to the coaching set up, as in addition to preparing the team and deciding what formation to play, they also overseen who we have brought in. This is where I start to disagree with you as although Pearson would have had to operate within the same financial restraints, considering we have brought in something like 12 new players, there is no way you can say he would have brought in all of the same players. I also think that Pearson would have gone for more of a mix of youth and experience in his acquisitions. In which case, the solution has to involve Lowe being removed from his position as CEO and Chairman. He has nailed his colours to this "Revolutionary Coaching Set Up", and so when Jan leaves, then Lowe will have to leave with him. The problem is not caused by the lack of finance, more that the lack of money is a constraint within which we (and many other clubs) have to work. And in no way can this be called a solution, as a solution would suggest that it has solved the problem. A strategy maybe, but in no way a solution!!!
  13. Being the pedant I am, Pearson actually improved the points haul by 130%!!!!!! His haul of 16 points in 13 games wasn't an outstanding achievement, but when put in perspective of what he inherited and what direction we were heading, it was a very good return.
  14. Got to this point and gave up. If only it was one poor performance :rolleyes: Can we have a smiley for "head in the sand" please.
  15. Whilst I understand your sentiment, I do think the problem of finding an alternative manager is somewhat easier than establishing a fully fledged democracy in a country ravaged by conflict and ethnic, tribal & religious divisions. Keeping Pearson would have been a good idea, so I don't buy the line that there is no other alternative out there. Nor do I accept that lack of money forces us to persevere with this hair brained scheme. Indeed, not to stop this folly would be a false economy of epic proportions. I don't reckon it would cost much to pay Jan & co off, and I also think that what is needed is a change of direction, not necessarily a wholesale change in personnel. Some shrewd loan signings should be possible in January and if necessary then maybe we should trade in some of our talent to fund some new additions. I just can't accept that we have no alternative than to sit back, accept our fate and either pray this all comes off, or we die a slow, painful death.
  16. Spot on. Just because we're skint, then it doesn't automatically follow that we have to employ someone who is clearly our of their depth.
  17. I would be 2nd behind you in the queue, and looking over my shoulder I reckon there would be plenty more in line. My football club would cease to exist if this happened and I would be only too happy to support an AFC Southampton as an alternative.
  18. Exactly, and if a couple of thickos like you and me can spot it so easily, then it's no wonder what proper CCC managers can suss us out so easily!!!!!!!! Total Football, my fcckucikng ar5543e
  19. No worries. And although an animated manager may not be everyones cup of tea, at one point I was willing to go and nut Poortvliet and tell him to get his hands out of his pockets and start showing some passion on the sidelines. He was as lame as what was out on that pitch. And about as inspring as Captain Mainwaring's briefings!!!!!
  20. I don't think they were particularly good, more that we were particularly shocking!!!!! As for your second point, I think you're spot on, as they had done their homework, pressed us and rendered us totally impotent. Once again, we were totally incapable (or is it unwilling) to change our shape and try something different. Did their keeper make a save???
  21. If I see any of those players out tonight, then I think I'll be chinning the fccukers, let alone booing them. If they take the money, then they should be prepared to take the stick. I've had a fcculking gut full of all this pussy footing around, particularly when he's on the OS telling us how happy he is with his performances and how he's turned the corner. Fccujk off has he. And if by sheer chance Jan Poortvliet is having tapas at Langkawi, then I'll be inserting the chicken satay up his ar553. Stop blaming the long suffering fans and a have a fukkucing closer look at what's making them all get so wound up!!!
  22. Oh fcccukk didn't realise they were playing Donny. I suppose the best result for us would be a Donny win!!!!!
  23. So we're back to blaming the fans again. Bravo, nickh, fcckuing bravo.
  24. I think that is because this time Lowe is intrinsically linked to the Poortvliet appointment and the underlying strategy. An admission that Jan has failed would inevitably be a wider admission of failure on the part of Lowe, something which I very much doubt he would face up to, particularly at this stage of his current tenure.
  25. Hardly a ringing endorsement for Lowe though!!!! I would be up for getting him (and Jan) out and bringing in someone fresh. Anyway, I'll see you later tonight I believe!!!!
