  1. Yee-ha, saddle up, the sanctimonious posse are in town. :smt078:smt078:smt078
  2. And with all due respect, in this case you're trying to start an argument over something that patently does not exist. Meryy Xmas to you too.
  3. Maybe that's where we've been going wrong all these years, in that the Academy has been churning out 4-3-3, interchangeable, and fluid players, and we've been trying to fit them into 4-4-2 first teams:rolleyes::rolleyes: Never bought this rubbish when it was first spouted, and certainly don't buy it now. Decent players should be able to slot into a number of different formations, otherwise we're saying that any players brought up on a 4-4-2 system can never play for Chelsea or Liverpoool.
  4. You do indeed have to go higher than Carter and start asking those individuals as to why they have got into bed with the Club. IMHO, there can be no doubt that those at the typewriter are working within the confines of what others have told them. The closest we have got to any criticism of the current regime is Carter's piece suggesting the Dutch experiment isn't working, which was at least an attempt to tell it like it really is.
  5. You'll have to trust me on this one fella, Pearson was more than happy to work with Lowe (which does suggest that Lowe is not viewed as evil by everyone, or, of course Pearson may just have really wanted to carry on regardless of his alledged meddling ways), but Lowe exercised the break clause so he could bring Jan in. There are others on here who were aware of Jan being in the background well before Lowe got his feet back under the table.
  6. I don't have a scooby if he's got a brother or a sister, and I'm not married to anyone!!!!!! It was just a throwaway line to wind up the idiot that is Up and Away. (I'm sure Graham won't mind me taken his non existent sister in vain!!!)
  7. When he went in late October, the OS read: The former Coventry and Birmingham star joins Gary Johnson's side until 1st Jaunary 2009. And as far as I can see, this is the first time that anyone has said it is for the reaminder of his contract.
  8. And sanctimonious is your middle name right? As for being an idiot, well your reply confirms it pretty clearly from where I'm sat:rolleyes::rolleyes: You get on your high horse, yee-ha!
  9. Pearson went on holiday to Malta after sitting down with Lowe and thought he had the job. He had no problems with any of the terms, the use of youngsters or that players would have to be sold. And call it semantics but his contract had not expired. It had another year to run (at least, but I'll find out for sure later if you want), but what was in place was a break clause exerciseable by both sides. Lowe exercised this break clause as he wanted to bring in his own man. that's fine by me, and he will live or die by that decision, but let's not try and rewrite history and suggest pearson left for any other reason than Lowe (& Wilde) wanted their own man in to replace him.
  10. Well why don't you read the little caveat I put there just to make sure that idiots like you don't get on their sanctimonious high horses and ride off into the sunset. The situation of withdrawing from a vote sometimes has equal or even more less power than partaking in the vote, not that there are any similarities in the events and actions of Mugabe and Lowe:rolleyes::rolleyes: Santimonious me up.
  11. Maybe, but I also think he's alienated a few who were still supportive of him and has also raised the anti of those who think he needs to step down. If anything, I now predict an upping of vitriol, protests and other forms of attacks, none of which can be called unifying in any sense of the term (unless you consider unifying against him is positive news for the Club). I liken it to when Bush won that tight vote in the USA in 2005 and Obama commented that rather than see such a tight victory as a call to humility, compromise and a need to reunite the country, it was instead seen as irrefutable mandate and the divisions became even deeper.
  12. I'm not so sure. He was never going to be defeated in a vote and the BBC have covered it as a mass walk out of shareholders, so maybe there was some logic in just getting up and walking out. In a way, the Mugabe analogy is pretty good, as Tsvangirai's actions certainly meant Mugabe only scored a hollow victory.
  13. I may be really out of touch and am only going on rough guesstimates, but I can't believe we have reduced our net debt.
  14. A nice analogy. As with Mugabe, this leaves it as a hollow victory (and no I don't think Lowe is comparable with Mugabe, merely the situation has some similarities).
  15. So the first climbdown has been made and this little snippet no longer has its own page on the OS. The next stop should be to remove it entirely. It's cringeable.
  16. Maybe, but also walking out and not bothering to vote is also a message that will get coverage. The appointment was a fait accompli, otherwise there would have been an EGM last summer if there was any chance Lowe would have lost. Lowe called the 13.1 million out of 28million+ of shares an overwhelming mandate back in the summer, so forgive me if I don't particularly want to fall for his spin again.
  17. I think he would have, had Wilde turned up!!!!! Lowe didn't get coined, it was a piece of drama, a protest with some symbolism and the very fact that the OS is carrying a piece on it seems fckuking ridiculous. I was seriously thinking of lobbing my season ticket (OK my mates seasons ticket) on the running track on Saturday, would I be hauled out for lobbing missiles???
  18. LMFAO. You can tell it's panto season. Get this off the OS please:rolleyes::rolleyes:
  19. I don't buy this because Crouch knows that Administration will mean relegation and the loss of the many good assets we have. I understand that his plan was to put in a couple of million, see if other shareholders could match it and use that money to avoid administration, avoid relegation and somehow bring some unity back to the Club. It would appear the other shareholders couldn't match it, or perhaps didn't like the strings that were attached to it.
  20. Before I pi455 myself I would appreciate it if you could clarify the bit in bold. Do you really think he is solving the problem?? As for the alternative, well forgive me if I'm slightly unsure about where to go next, because I'm still mightily ****4ed off that Lowe actually back and ripped up what was beginning to have the look of potential about it (i.e. Pearson and co.).
  21. Have to agree 100%. For me this has nothing to do with the cost, and everything to do with the fact that whilst Forest were probably deep in training and preparation for a crucial match, someone had given our boys a few days off. Revolutionary Coaching Set Up???? Nah, we seem to be making it up as we go along!!!!!!!!!
  22. Someone should ask them to publish how many of the 28,000,000 shares this represents.
  23. Somehow I doubt it, because with the exception of Simon Carter, the rest have sold their soul to the devil in return for some "exclusives". Some people at The Echo should be ashamed at their patronising coverage of what is happening at our Club.
  24. If he hasn't gone mad, then I would probably agree with you in that he knew this would get people riled, which would mean he could write off the response as a lunatic fringe getting all emotional and vitriolic. This man will never unite this Club and personally if he has stooped to these levels, then the gloves have to come off. Is there anyone who can or will defend his actions of opening this AGM in such a provocative manner???
  25. Being serious for a minute, I really do think Lowe may well have a mental health problem. I just can't see how you can reconcile the idea that he thinks he's coming back to unify the Club, as honourable as it may seem, with these petty actions that surely he (and others) must know will provoke anger, resentment and division.
