Rasmus’s wet dream Less complex than it seems Based upon his third rate MBA Amplify success Pretend you are the best Get the rich to pay along the way Construct a clusterfuck Blame it on bad luck See if you can run and hide away Distance from your Welsh clown Expensive dross who took us down Pray your bullshit sticks enough to stay

One thing this discussion is missing is Lyanco’s intelligence as a footballer - it’s very obvious to those of us with an eye for talent that he’s as thick as pigshit.
-
Like a fridge freezer.
-
Johnny Walker or Captain Morgan?
-
-
To be honest a step to the side would wrongfoot Lyanco and he’d be clear.
-
About £27m should do it!
-
Me too. It’s too obvious perhaps, but would solve so many problems in gelling a truly competitive squad.

I’m all for giving Martin the familiar and trusted tools to do the job, rather than relying on the useless tools on the fringes of our first team. You’d think that with Grimes, Piroe and Downes complementing Manning we’d be competitive very quickly. McCarthy going to Palace and being replaced by Schmeichel icing on our first championship window cake. Pray chaps.

To be honest our squad was nowhere near PL standard when all of them were in it. Club needs an enema and Wilcox is the initial catalyst, a boardroom suppository if you will!
-
Tino, Lavia and Prowse should be available.

Chinese Serbian collaboration manipulated by Russia and the far right on social media. Seems highly plausible, if somewhat #controversial I’ll always be grateful to Gao for his ‘We March on’ clip, ruthlessly rehearsed, scarfed and suited in a beige Bejing hotel room looking like he had a gun trained on him. That and the Ted Bates statue unveiling never fail to raise a spontaneous smile at Milton Manor. Hopefully many more magic moments to look forward to supporting SFC…

Actively and consciously no, but negligently and ineptly still very much up for grabs 😀

Could be that unfortunately, or a midweek meeting between Wilcox, Martin and Mowbray in terms of best (only) offer on the table and a need to reach a conclusion on a 29 year old player. Could also come from pressure from JWPs side of course. Only those very close will know. At the end of last season when Sport Republic issued the appeasement about ‘taking responsibility’ and being ‘committed to Southampton’ I pointed out that should they get us promoted it only restores us to where we were when they took over, no fanfare or thanks required from the fanbase at that point. Restoration not ressurection. Outwardly they have proved nothing so far apart from their ineptitude and stubbornness. The hope is that this has been addressed with Wilcox but the proof in the pudding has still to materialise. It was always going to be painful losing our few stars, but its more about incomings, this window is crucial and so is January if SR are committed and the club are serious. There is no need to attempt be clever, the model is already there, and was used successfully at this club last time we hit rock bottom. You buy a core of players from clubs around you and above you and blend this with your best proven youngsters. You don’t gamble or game in this league. I would expect six starters arriving in this window and so far - front to back - we have one, so lots to do. Last season we were putting out a team with no spine, bereft of character or care. The Sheff Wed win was welcome but Gillingham bloody horrific, so in two games something like five shots on target and four goals against. I like Martin and I like Wilcox but they need to be ruthless and demanding from this point.

I think we have blinked as clearly need to get on with our own business now. Likely cash up front and Downes on loan as part of the deal. Doesn’t look great but those may be the drivers.
-
At West Ham it would likely be Thrush or Chlamydia.
-
It will be Goztepe!
-
Christ yes, all for that!
-
At last some positive transfer news 😂
-
Agree, good point. Think he could well be an ‘Alan McLoughlin’ for them.
-
This makes good commercial sense. Raise it at the upcoming fans forum. Charlie Boss will be all over it, like a boss.
-
I think he’d be good in the middle of a field - preferably on Salisbury Plain!

We have pots of cash, and could do what Leiberr and Cortese did with their extended version of the Magnificent Seven in L1. At least now we get to see if Jason Wilcox is Bolton’s answer to Henry Kissinger or Eddie Edwards. If he’s worse than the artist formerly known as Rasmus we will likely be losing to Gillingham in the league in a years time having gone from seaside farce to Greek tragedy. Interesting era to support SFC chaps, it was ever thus. Hope Prowsey gets what he wants from the move, but I can’t stand West Fucking Ham!
