It’s because those in charge (Semmens, Ankersen and the prick from Millwall) are mediocre corporate idiots backed by middle management stooges in positions of authority without any connection to the club or city. The one plus about relegation is that it’s the perfect time to initiate a full cull.

The first name on the end of season hit list for Solak has to be Ankersen, as he won’t want a manager with gravitas or football nous in charge alongside - they’d find him out within days. Cooper or Potter provide just what we need, but we have to be able to make them a credible offer.

Obvious that Selles thinks he’s a better manager than he actually is, a shame as he’s likeable and comes over very well in interviews, but there are no points for that. We are basically seeing a more limited version of Hassenhutl, which is something that takes some bloody doing. No surprise in this shower of players bizarrely augmented by Ankersen’s negligent frittering of the owners money going down, but going down with a whimper, without a fight or attempt is inexcusable. Only thing that stops us sliding down the championship is a mass cull overseen by Solak in early summer.

Reminded of Romeu putting Grealish in his place in the not too distant past. Along with the invisible goalkeeper and goalcorer another top personnel decision by Sport Republic.
-
Seeing as Ankersen likes a revolutionary approach someone should suggest electric shocks and white noise for the players and waterboarding for the chimps operating the ‘black box’.

Until Marty Semmens provides his expert context I'm not interested.

Fucks sake. Think we are cooked gentlemen.

If you replace Martin with ‘Rolf Harris’ the statement still works as an inspiration. Also same conclusion.

About bloody time!

Does it have a restricted capacity.

Miss the old girl.

Great day out at the old Wembley. A legendary London bender for our cohort which included a group of Irish lads from work who were converted to the cause thereafter. Saints support was brilliant.

The old man took me to my first game at the Dell as a birthday present in 1976, Saints v Fulham, Saints had Channon, Osgood and MacDougall up front in the candy stripes giving Bobby Moore the run around. Totally spoilt in the first game and that was it for me. Previously made do with a generic Bukta red and white shirt for the park but Admiral from Toomers and Activity in Eastleigh birthdays and Xmas following. Would love to see that kit back as it looked great in the flesh, as did the Patrick number that followed.
-
Fucks sake, he was playing for a 'small club' back then!

Really liked those Patrick kits including the later variation of this with the shoulder flashes (both the red and the blue). Also the Patrick boots were decent at the time too, soft leather and ali studs - got a pair to compliment the favoured Pumas marshalling the back line at school. Whether it's Hummel or the likes of Umbro next season it would be good to see the candy stripes or the reverse Ajax with the minimum of fucking about from 'the amazing Josh, Suki and their innovative multifaceted creative team'.

Given our historical home form all of these 'innovative' psychological measures are working like a fucking dream! #thinkingoutsidethebox

The Football Association needs to make an example of Everton here, they should force them to sack Dyche and appoint Nathan Jones on a rolling contract until they are in the Cymru Premier.

He shouldn't start against Saints, otherwise I'm all for it!

Turning point game, 2-0 Saints. Fuck Ings and the Irons...

When Nat Jones was here it felt throughout like he was attempting to learn on the job. Selles is also obviously learning on the job, but there are promising signs that he is actually capable of learning and improving. Personally, in the main enjoying the football again despite our current purgatory.

Expect Rasmus to be defunding the BBC and wearing a Barbour jacket and plus fours in ten years time.
