Of course. My point was that it's incorrect to label them as 'two old men' when one is in his early 60s and the other in his 40s. I should have used the word 'parent' instead of 'father ' in this instance. But I still know of plenty of men who became fathers at an older age than either of these two. Generally, we tend to say 'well done' to a man who becomes a parent in his 60s (although we're not quite so generous with our praise for women who become parents once they're over 50). I'm the same age as EJ and I spend two or three days a week looking after my young grandchildren. I think I carry out that caring role at least as well as I did raising my own children when I was in my 20s.
