  1. So should be done and dusted by midday
  2. Munchausen
  3. Do we know for sure that he's in NORTHERN Cyprus? With a surname like his, I would have thought he would be holidaying in the Greek part of Cyprus - maybe that's where his family originated? Maybe he's not coming back at all?
  4. "The High Court ruling that Soham murderer Ian Huntley is to spend at least 40 years in prison has been met with a positive reaction. Although it fell short of the victims' families' wish that he be forced to spend the rest of his life behind bars, Mr Justice Moses said his order "offers little or no hope of the defendant's eventual release". http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/4293538.stm
  5. No - the implication of that document is that sports and leisure facilities would have to be provided on FP instead. It expressly stated that retail units would threaten the existing retail outlets in the area. Leisure is a broad term. It could encompass, for example, pubs, restaurants, a sports centre etc. etc. The important point is that the sale of the land with such restrictions in place would impact on its development value.
  6. Well, sad muppet that I am, I've just googled and found this: http://www.portsmouth.gov.uk/media/Fratton_Goods_Yard_Part_1.pdf It states quite clearly in this document that, should the club (and I use the term loosely ) relocate, retail premises will not be allowed on the site. I'll carry on looking to see if I can find anything more recent as this document is 12 years old.
  7. Hasn't Portsmouth City Council recently confirmed that the land can ONLY be used for sport? And, that if the owners want to sell FP for commercial development, they will only be granted planning permission if they reprovide the football ground somewhere else in the city? I'm sure I heard / read that in the last couple of weeks or so.
  8. Well, at least we read them. Unlike men who refuse to read them and then wonder why things don't turn out as they should!
  9. A rule of thumb IMO:- The more the wedding costs, the shorter the marriage will be Yours Old Cynic
  10. Hey - you're one clever puppy, aren't you At what age do dalmatians get their spots then? I don't ever remember our dalmatian not having spots and we got her when she was a puppy (probably at about 12 weeks I guess).
  11. I think there's a misconception that shops will give discounts for cash because, otherwise, they have to pay charges to banks / credit card companies if cards are used. I used to own a shop many years ago and, believe me, banks charged me just as much for banking cash!
  12. Wasn't there a lot of news coverage about a child abuse ring in the Fordingbridge area a couple of years or so ago?
  13. Yep and I'm planning on sending her up a chimney later this week
  14. There are some things money just can't buy you know. And remember that vintage wines and vintage cars are more expensive than newer ones Oh and thanks Hammy for your follow up defence of this lady x
