  1. A company in Widnes - I've forgotten the name.
  2. Article on him in the Grauniad http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2009/oct/25/relationships-men-women-grayson-perry I thought he was quite good
  3. Never see Slipped Halo either. So few women on this forum, it's a shame that one goes missing
  4. I do believe that the 'you's should be 'they's. HTH
  5. However, there is another company that has a cover plan that looks as if it's official but isn't actually the Sky cover plan. Somehow they 'know' that your Sky cover is about to expire and they call you to renew. It's the same annual cost (£99?) as Sky. Mr TF 'renewed' our cover with this company (silly boy) but I do now have their Ts and Cs and they look OK so will stick with them ATM although we're about to go HD so I guess we'll get a new one-year guarantee for our new box.
  6. Huge ADSA next door - if that helps
  7. Typical behaviour from a little man, don't you think?
  8. I guess the likely truth is that RM bosses are under instruction to weaken the postal service so that it can be privatised. I struggle to think of one public service that has improved with privatisation. I think the net result will be that we will all pay a realistic price for posting letters instead of a heavily subsidised price and that the longer the 'journey' the higher the cost. I do worry for people living in remote areas. Will their post get collected / delivered in the future?
  9. Anyone else seen this: Apologies if it's already been posted
  10. I thought it was a good programme. The man had demanded the oxygen of publicity. Now he squeaks because he doesn't like the way it was handed to him. The man's a hypocrite and a nasty piece of work, and he showed us all exactly how vile he is. I'm glad the programme was aired.
  11. Back on topic - it's quite interesting to hear the views of someone who actually knows how the organisation works / doesn't work: http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2009/oct/24/postal-worker-blog-innovation-idiocy
  12. Easy..............
  13. Just read that a Universal Charger is now being produced. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8323018.stm About bloody time too!
  14. TBF Baj - I started the sarcastic dialogue with RH. Sorry xx
  15. So, since you are flawless, you are presumably gifted too? So gifted that you can see, at a glance, that the stranger walking towards you who is above average weight, stuffs his / her face with cakes and lard? Wow! I'll tell my cousin, who has to take steroids for a medical condition and who has, as a result, ballooned in weight, that it's CAKES and LARD, not steroids doing the damage! Thanks RH - he'll be so chuffed (even though his condition means he doesn't eat a high fat diet).
  16. You're welcome. Just a teensy weensy bit of well-meant advice. Learn not to insult people who may or may not have a medical condition that leads to weight gain and you really will be perfect! Then I would aspire to be you.
  17. It must be wonderful to be flawless like you. Wonderful, because no-one needs to resort to baser intelligence levels to insult you. How refreshing.
  18. That's a good article, thanks for that I would think that anyone who debased a cemetry was of pretty low intelligence. So it sort of follows that using insulting labels (whatever the nationality of the perpetrator) indicates lack of imagination and probably intelligence.
  19. Nope - non-sequitur buddy. I don't use insulting language BECAUSE I'd hate myself if I hurt someone by using such language. K?
  20. I don't call French people 'frogs' and I have never heard a french person call me 'ros bif'. Maybe it's the company I keep. Why resort to words that have nasty insinuations through past mis-use to describe people? Why not say 'asian' 'red-headed' if that's the only way you can distinguish one person from another. Maybe limited intelligence means such people don't have more sophisticated words to describe people? Why be insulting? Why say 'that fat bloke over there'? Why not say 'that bloke over there with the Portsmouth shirt on'? I'd hate myself if I insulted someone - even someone that I didn't know and unintentionally.
  21. Absolutely disagree. I've had mobile phones since 1994 and the iPhone is without a doubt the best phone I've ever had.
  22. This is hidden code for "most nurses I've chatted up have sent me away with a flea in my ear - I will therefore tell everyone else they don't fancy me because they're gay in order to save face"
  23. Errr why would a bunch of nurses want to go to a strip club? The dogs could be a flyer though
  24. Hmmmm - the Oxford one is shutting too (if it hasn't already). It was to have been our office 'do' this Christmas. I'm relieved - I didn't really want to go but, new in post, didn't want to be thought of as a party pooper. So phew from me
