  1. I just really hope we use the postponement as an incentive and go out and beat whatever Newcastle team is put in front of us. For me they clearly played the system and used gamesmanship aka cheating.
  2. You don't take the FA Cup seriously then?
  3. I'm assuming Sport Republic is a brand new company hence there's little info about them and they don't have a glossy website. Not suggesting this is a bad thing as the guys involved have a lot of credentials which is important plus they have the backing of the Serbian billionaire. This could be the start of an exciting ride as we seem to be their initial investment so they'll be very keen to see that we progress quickly as a football team and as a business. I believe they'll be looking to hit the ground running having planned this venture for a long time. Hopefully we'll be glad they chose us as the corner stone to their ambitions.
  4. Interesting listen.
  5. Well, after the Newcastle take over surely anything goes. They'll be hard pressed to turn down potential take overs now with the bar set so low.
  6. Agree with this.
  7. Spurs fans not happy with Hojbjerg and seem to have woken up to the fact that he is far too basic for what they need. We mugged them off by unloading him onto them.
  8. As I understand it every Premier League club tests their players on a daily basis before letting them enter the training facilities. Newcastle would be doing the same and Sean Dyche stated this is the way things are done at Burnley. Accepting that players can catch Covid from family, friends etc it is still hard to believe the numbers that are going down like flies at certain clubs and, at the most convenient of times. The Premier League needs to keep an eye on this and think about tweaking the rules they put in place or else this could develop into a farce - that's if it's not already reached that stage.
  9. Eddie Howe-Convenient must be feeling so smug at the moment. After watching Wilson and ASM go down against Man Utd the planning went into action to get the next games called off. They killed two birds with one stone - more time for their 'injured' to recover and time to dip into the transfer market. Goody two shoes Eddie is anything but. Stinks to high heaven this charade.
  10. Most of the 'injured' would have made miraculous recoveries if they were told to play on Sunday. Seen it happen at other clubs. It's playing the system aka cheating.
  11. It is certainly cheating if, as most of us suspect, they are being less than honest about their covid numbers.
  12. Agree. I think when these games postponed prior to January are rearranged all teams should only be able to select from players in their squad before the transfer window.
  13. Sorry but it's cheating.
  14. This is blatant cheating and let's hope when the game is played Ralph uses that as his team talk and we absolutely smash them. Many of us are beyond angry at this. You can bet that, if they'd been forced to play the game, a miracle would have taken place and the walking wounded and covid sufferers would have risen like Lazarus and they'd have put out a strong side. They've become a loathsome club and that's before they've even spent their billions. Hope they are relegated and the owners cut their losses and sell up.
  15. Newcastle might struggle to sign players in the January window - who'd want to go to a club where Covid 19 is rampant and players are going down like flies? Best avoid the place like the plague until their very own epidemic clears up 🙂
  16. How very convenient for them. Don't think anyone saw that coming.
  17. Obviously not a fan of Brighton in any shape or form but have to give credit where it is due. They were magnificent against Chelsea and a point was the least they deserved after showing zero fear and having a right go rather than parking the bus. Townsend made a complete dick of himself by awarding MoM to Lukaku rather than either Brighton's Cucurella or Bissouma. Touchel was totally graceless and made a fool of himself whinging about injuries and a non-existent 100% penalty shout for Chelsea - he gave no credit to Brighton.
  18. Fair point.
  19. Read my post again - I didn't say anything about a global tycoon only looking at options 10 miles from his home because obviously, as you infer, that would be ridiculous. I merely made the point that he would not be living in the caretakers house he has planning permission for so it is not relevant.
  20. Not sure that planning to hold a press conference is evidence that the game is likely to go ahead.
  21. Yeah, you can tell he's a whinger by the way he throws a tantrum and acts like a spoilt brat on the touchline when things aren't going his way. Fair play to Brighton last night and they thoroughly deserved at least a point having outplayed the London billionaires for large chunks of the game. How Townsend made Lukaku man of the match is beyond me - was he not watching Cucurella at left back for Brighton or Bissouma in their midfield?
  22. So it's not a house for Ratcliffe to live in but rather for the peasant who looks after his mansion next door so not really relevant to whether he may be about to buy Saints🙂
  23. Why is it amazing? Maybe Newcastle are just being more disingenuous than Chelsea.
  24. I don't reckon suspensions should count. If you can only name 12 plus a goalkeeper because one is suspended then tough.
  25. Think I'd rather see Tino sprinting into space down the right from a ball played down the line than trying to pick his way through a crowded area where he is often dispossessed or forced to turn back and recycle the ball. For me his danger is as a marauder pushing back the opposition full back and he has the skill and pace to do that whilst helping cover his full back partner. His attributes are a bit wasted at present because I don't think he's a great defender although he may improve on that front. He is made to play in front of KWP.
