  1. Something has gone wrong behind the scenes in my opinion. My guess is that it has something to do with Salisu who has gone from being superb and fully committed to couldn't give a toss. Also the Redmond thing. Something has happened in the camp to destroy the team ethic and morale. Don't think JWP has looked happy recently either. Poison is spreading through the squad.
  2. Burnley look to have the easiest run in. If they could get on a roll I can see them escaping at the expense of Everton, Leeds or even Newcastle although they probably should have enough.
  3. Maybe pulsating but the quality of football was very poor compared with the Premier League.
  4. Just watched the highlights and all I can say is 'Anthony Taylor should have gone to Specsavers'. The foul on Broja just before Leeds scored was about as clear and obvious as it gets. Absolutely criminal that he either did not see the incident or chose to ignore it.
  5. I reckon thousands of Spurs fans would volunteer to drive him here if we were daft enough to take him off their hands.
  6. Any club looking at signing Harry Winks needs to ask their scouts and coaches to give their heads a firm wobble.
  7. Not sure how something can be classed as 'nearly' a penalty - either it is or it isn't.
  8. I think Tella is a bit of an unknown quantity because he's never shown enough on a regular basis. Flashes of promise yes but he leaves me feeling uncertain as to whether he's got that extra quality needed at this level. Hope he proves he has but he does need to kick on now.
  9. I thought VAR might get him to take another look but these decisions seem to go in favour of the bigger teams. We are denied a pen at Man City by VAR when Adam Armstrong was chopped from behind but they uphold a soft one after Jesus dived yesterday.
  10. Think Forster should and will depart. The goalkeeping position has been an issue for a long time now so there is no excuse for the scouts not to have in mind a decent number of alternatives. There must be some excellent keepers in the lower divisions or in Europe that we could bring in.
  11. The penalty was soft to say the least. Salisu makes the merest of touches on Jesus who throws himself to the ground as though he's been hit by a tank. Disgraceful dive and he looked sheepish as well.
  12. Think it was more to do with the fact that their two subs were Mahrez and Foden. With all due respect to Adams and Broja those two are on a different level and it showed. After De Bruyne I think Mahrez is their next best player and he ran riot against our tiring defence.
  13. Is the gulf in the value of the squads also almost embarrassing or is it not relevant?
  14. Agree about his first chance. In fact, he scuffed it so badly it put spin on the ball which is the reason it hit the post - without the accidental spin it would have just bobbled harmlessly wide.
  15. Brave effort but their class told in the end. We made mistakes at crucial times and gifted them goals whilst missing our own decent chances. I'd love to know why Adam Armstrong manages to scuff every single shot lately because he does have a good strike on him. Stephens was awful throughout and totally culpable for their opener. Moi failing to release the ball meant we'd expended a lot of energy for nothing and had players stranded upfield leading to the soft penalty - I thought refs were allowing a certain amount of contact this season but Jesus went down as though a sniper had taken him out after the merest of brushes as he ran alongside Salisu - Dean of course could not wait to point to the spot. Adams should score at 1-2 but rather than pick out either corner he puts it straight at the keeper. Salisu's weak header gives Foden the chance and he shows our strikers how to hit a football. Overall a good effort against one of the best club sides in the world. Excellent displays from Stu Armstrong, JWP, KWP and Tino.
  16. Yeah, spotted and corrected 🙂
  17. Messrs Forster, Bednarek and Salisu need to cut out the p!ssing about at the back in this game as City will punish any errors in a far greater fashion than Watford did. If in doubt, launch it. Correction, just noticed Bednarek is not starting 🙂
  18. Is this going to be a masterstroke from Ralph? Guess we'll find out soon enough.
  19. Imagine if we had to win three games to win the Premier League title - does anyone seriously think we'd not put out the strongest team possible? This rotation when the team is in a safe position is nonsense.
  20. If Ralph wants to give fringe players game time then do it in league matches not our most important fixture this season. City will probably beat whatever side we put out but let's at least give ourselves a fighting chance by starting with the best we have.
  21. I expect more than zero points in two home games against Newcastle and Watford and an away match at Villa regardless of who our manager is.
  22. Ralph to do his usual squad rotation and hand the tie to Citeh.
  23. Isn't it the same ball for both sides?
  24. In a nutshell. The slow build up against the low block means we have to bring all our players into advanced positions so we constantly leave ourselves wide open to counter attacks and balls over the top into the channels. You'd think Ralph would have learned by now.
  25. It's puzzling to say the least.
