  1. Surely one of our 3 goalkeeping coaches can turn this game around?
  2. Is that our next two results? I'd take that.
  3. As has been said, he's not a defensive midfielder.
  4. Resigned at the start of the week.
  5. Well, we've got 3 goalkeeping coaches and 2 poor goalkeepers so a defensive coach could be the answer.
  6. I doubt Ralph particularly believes himself that he's very good at his job. If he had undivided self confidence in his own ability I doubt he'd be talking about retiring imminently. Could be wrong but I get the feeling, deep down, he knows he's lost his mojo.
  7. Yeah, missed out in play-offs last season.
  8. Bmuff didn't.
  9. Funny because when they got relegated lots of Bmuff fans were saying how glad they were to be out of the Prem away from VAR and all the prima donna players and win at all costs stuff.
  10. Home win banker.
  11. Agree. We had two goalkeepers as coaches and then appointed a specialist goalkeeping coach on top! Where is the logic?
  12. Ralph has presided over some very poor individual results and periods where we pick up few points. I watched a limited Everton side beat Chelsea yesterday and the Chelsea team was very similar to the one that hammered us 6-0 at St Marys and then took their foot off the pedal for the final 30 minutes. A weakness lurks in Ralph's teams that he seems incapable of shaking off. I am aware that he produces some good spells when we play well and put together good results but the rest of the time it's dreary sideways, backwards football, no creativity, lack of desire making it easy for our opponents. It is very frustrating although I accept that he is working on a tight budget. I just don't get the vast differences in performance levels and the sudden slumps which go on for large numbers of games.
  13. I think it's pretty clear Ralph is not likely to rock the boat and is not much more than a yes man.
  14. Not sure we are around most of the sides you mention. The way it's going we are likely to be sitting just above the bottom 3 come the end of the season.
  15. The major issue for me (apart from the two 9-0 losses) is these runs of matches where we play really poorly and pick up hardly any points. During these runs we even struggle against teams in or near the bottom of the league. It happens far too frequently and indicates that Ralph's coaching, tactics and man management is full of flaws. Maybe it's time to give some one else a chance.
  16. I guess, along with many others, I've reached the stage this season where I am past caring about the weak efforts of our side. We are the go-to club when opponents have a player who hasn't scored for months, a team that hasn't overturned a one nil deficit or just not won in ages - play us and all that changes. It has become too tiresome and predictable. We now find ourselves perched above just the dross as the rest have now passed us as we go into our annual slump at the end of the season. Only a few more games to suffer.
  17. I liked the fact that JWP scored with a totally different type of free kick. This will add to his armoury as keepers and defenders will now have to factor in a lower trajectory strike into the bottom corner.
  18. About time these showed some fight to earn a decent point.
  19. Who upset the sons-in-law 🙂
  20. Yes, it's time I'm afraid to say.
  21. Brighton struggle to score goals at home then along come the sons-in-law.
  22. Have we taken our ice cream break yet?
  23. Thought this game might have suited our feckless lot...near the beach, smell of the sea, seagulls and all that. Shame Brighton didn't stick deckchairs in the dug-out so we could really relax.
  24. Sons-in-law doing what they do best as usual.
