Anyone wanna buy my Leicester ticket? Hahaha
-
Didn't think i'd have my car that day, which is why I asked - But now I will, so I'll turn it round, and say if anyone needs a lift back in the Slough direction, let me know.
-
Hi all, I live near Slough and am a bit concerned about travel home from the Ipswich game due to rail engineering works. I can get there no probs, but just wondering if anyone will be driving home that way. Happy to chip in for fuel, obviously.
-
Pick up Slough/Maidenhead area on Monday or Tuesday
-
Hi guys, will be going to this game on my own. Anyone know what pubs will be Saints friendly before the match?
-
Spent a small fortune as well. They look much better under De Zerbi imo.
-
Ah I saw the kids getting chucked out, wondered what it was for, assumed they were spurs fans!
-
Was this in the Itchen at the chapel end?
-
As title, please let me know if you have a spare.
-
Awful. De Boer him.
-
3 and 6. Don't think this team is good enough to stay in the prem so would be happy with either of those.

What is the best goal you've ever seen live at a Saints game?

Verginis OG to open the scoring in the 8-0 against Sunderland. What a day. -
Guardian Podcast said theyve given 50 fans from each country match tickets, hotels, spending money etc, so long as they praise Qatar on social media and look like they're having a good time on camera. One Aussie fan decided against it after initially agreeing when people found out and he started getting pelters.

1-0 Saints win. Jones falls to his knees and starts crying at full time.

Do you want Nathan Jones to Manage Southampton Football Club?
gsweet87 replied to Rivers's topic in The Saints
I'd be ok with it. I have an inkling that the people making the decisions know a bit more about him than we do. -
Surprised to not see a single Dani Rodrigues mention. Tim Sparv, lots of good reserve performances but never played for the first team. Went on to have a good professional career and played loads of games for Finland. Adam Hammil was one I was surprised to not see make the grade, thought he looked great at times on loan for us.

This is the important bit. It's all well and good having a list - but if none of them are interested or available then it's a bit pointless.
-
It's patently obvious to me that they don't know who they want to replace him (or perhaps can realistically get), else he would be gone by now. The club have shown they're not risk averse by going young on the signings front, but I see them looking for an experienced manager, particularly someone experienced in working with youth. Part of me wonders if they have Roberto Martinez in the crosshairs. Rudi Garcia maybe an outside bet if he fancied a return to proper football.

Don't we have the most points from losing positions this year?
-
I think Che always contributes no matter the situation, he has a lot of positive attributes but christ alive his finishing needs work.
-
I think I'm going to stop going to home games. I go to 4-5 a season and haven't seen us win at home since we beat Sunderland 8-0. Never seen us lose away though weirdly.

Good idea regardless of strikes
-
JWP has been in poor form this season, and also towards the end of last season. Who does he get in ahead of? He isn't as good defensively as Rice or Phillips (I know he isn't playing for City, but was good for England in the Euros), not as good an attacking option as Bellingham or Mount, and doesn't have the experience of Henderson. We all know JWP is a good player when at his best, but surely even the most blinkered Saints fan couldn't say he should be starting for England at the moment? Also, the article says we're reliant on him? I'd say our good results this season have been in spite of him, not because of him.

Frustrating indeed. I'll be driving down, hopefully traffic won't be too manic.

Bigger strike on the 1st (Everton home) and no talks of postponements on that day so I'd have thought not.
